This Father’s Day, we are honored to have Mrs. Ogundeyi with us. She is a hearing teacher who dedicates her work to deaf children, and on this day, she will be bridging communication for our deaf fathers.

Fatherhood is more than providing. It’s about presence, guidance, love, and being seen and heard. That is why Mrs. Ogundeyi will be translating all spoken words into sign language in real time, making sure every dad in the room feels fully part of the celebration. Her skill and patience turn spoken messages into clear, expressive signs so no father misses a word of appreciation, wisdom, or encouragement.

We are grateful for her role in making this event truly inclusive. People like Mrs. Ogundeyi remind us that fatherhood speaks in many languages—and every dad deserves to understand and be understood.

Friday is for creativity in my class 🎨

Week 2 of CCA was all about Crafts & Decorations, and we kept our Friday artwork ritual alive with a simple greeting card project.

Watching learners plan, cut, fold, and decorate reminded me why hands-on learning matters. It’s not just about the final card — it’s about focus, problem-solving, and the confidence that comes from making something with your own hands.

Small projects like this build big skills: patience, attention to detail, and creative expression. Plus, the pride on their faces when they finished? That’s the real win.

Here’s to more Fridays spent creating, messing up, and learning together.

When you are doing anything, do it as if no one is watching.

We didn’t start TV School for applause. We started it so hearing learners could finally say “hello” to a deaf child in their own language.

A few weeks later, 100+ learners across 5 Ijebu-Ode schools are fingerspelling, greeting, and teaching their siblings sign language. 92% showed up every week — after school, voluntarily.

Their feedback? Mind-blowing.
_“I feel proud.” “I’m a teacher now.” “I matter.”_

This is why we do it. Not for the report. For the moment a quiet pupil leads the club. For the kid who runs up to sign “good morning” on the street.

Because inclusion starts when no one’s watching.

TV School isn’t just sign language. It’s telling every child: you matter.

A Heartfelt Breakthrough 🌟

During a sign language class, a learner shared that she's a twin, and her sister is Deaf. What's more, her sister hasn't had access to formal education 😔.

I'm thrilled she's part of our free sign language training in schools. Grateful to Teach For Nigeria for this opportunity. If I hadn't embarked on project, I wouldn't have discovered this reality.
I am working towards bringing her deaf sister to school. Let's work together to bridge this gap and create opportunities for her sister and others like her.

Exciting milestone! 🎉

As the Be The Change Project's free sign language training comes to an end, a group of hearing learners from the five selected schools was evaluated today in a mini writing test. Impressed by their focus, seriousness, and confidence! 🙌 Proud of the progress made towards inclusivity and community development. It's rewarding to see my intention bearing fruit, and I'm proud of their progress! Thanks to our amazing learners and partners!
