OLUWAFOYINSAYEMI MOBEGELU CMS LTD MARKS 10TH ANNIVERSARY, LAUNCHES NEW COOPERATIVES, AND HONOURS COOPERATIVE LEADERS IN OGUN STATE
On Wednesday, 1st April 2026 Oluwafoyinsayemi Mobegelu Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited - OFSAM celebrated her 10th Years Anniversary, Annual General Meeting, and Award Presentation Ceremony, recognizing the dedication of Cooperative elders, leaders, and stakeholders who have contributed significantly to the growth and development of the Cooperative Movement in Ogun State.
The milestone event witnessed the launch of three new Cooperative Societies and the presentation of certificates through the Ministry of community development and cooperatives
In his Management Report, presented at the OFSAM 10TH YEARS ANNIVERSARY & ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM), the President Hon. Omelaja Ayodele Nurudeen expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the Society’s success, despite economic challenges. He highlighted key achievements for the year under review:
Membership: Fifteen (15) new members joined, reflecting continued confidence in the Society’s vision and credibility.
Meetings: All statutory meetings were held as scheduled, ensuring transparency and smooth administration.
Shares Capital and Savings: Shares Capital and Ordinary Savings each stood at ₦18,999,250.00, reflecting stable financial management.
Loan Management: Loans were disbursed and monitored to meet members’ financial needs efficiently.
Net Surplus: A net surplus of ₦3,289,749.15 was recorded, up from ₦3,145,691.00 in the previous year.
Member Benefits & Patronage: Funds were set aside to reward member loyalty, and members continued to receive recognition for their support.
Investments: The Society maintained investments in Ijebu Central Cooperative Services Society Ltd (₦357,000.00) and Ogun State Cooperative Federation Limited (₦32,000.00).
Education & Training: Committee retreats and seminars were held, strengthening leadership and administrative effectiveness.
Formation of New Societies: Three new cooperative societies were formed: Oluwafoyinsayemi Youth Bonojo, Oluwafoyinsayemi Excel Bonojo, and Ibukun Oluwa Bonojo.
Awards & Recognition: In November 2025, the Society received an award from the IJEBU YOUTH ASSOCIATION
Launch of Tireni Oluwa Bonojo Ijebu Cooperative Multipurpose Union & OWIC Empowerment Programme: Significant events were held to enhance cooperative development and member empowerment.
Hon. Omelaja Ayodele concluded by appreciating the support of members, officers, government agencies, and invited guests, calling for continued unity and dedication to the cooperative ideals.
During the event, the Assistant Director of Cooperative Services, Ijebu Ode Local Government, Mr. Theophilus Ifarajimi, presented registration certificates to the newly established cooperatives:
1. Oluwafoyinsayemi Excel Bonojo (Ijebu Ode) CMS Ltd – Established 7th January 2024, with 30 members, Net Surplus: ₦264,828.11
