*On behalf of the entire Okpameri Youth, we warmly congratulate our dear brother, Comr. Sanusi Friday, on his well-deserved appointment as Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman of the Local Government.*

*We sincerely appreciate the leadership of the LGA Chairman for recognizing the potential of the younger generation and entrusting a vibrant and capable young man with such an important and strategic position. Re: Misleading Publication by Mr. Johnson Ogbonna on the Alleged Endorsement by the Okpameri Youth Association (Registered)

Date: 5th July, 2026.

The attention of the leadership and members of the Okpameri Youth Association (Registered) has been drawn to a misleading publication circulated by Mr. Johnson Ogbonna, alleging that the Association has endorsed a political candidate.

This publication has generated unnecessary confusion and numerous inquiries from members of the public.

For the avoidance of doubt, we state categorically that the Okpameri Youth Association (Registered) is a non-partisan and apolitical organization. Our primary mandate is to promote unity, youth development, peace, and the collective progress of the Okpameri people, irrespective of political affiliation.

While we fully recognize and respect the constitutional right of every Nigerian to freely associate with and support any political party or candidate of their choice, no individual has the authority to use the name, identity, or platform of the Okpameri Youth Association to promote personal political interests without the express approval of the Association. Such actions are misleading, unethical, and unacceptable.

"Leadership is built on truth, not manipulation. Credibility is earned through integrity, not false representation."

We therefore dissociate ourselves completely from the purported endorsement and affirm that at no time has the Okpameri Youth Association (Registered) met, resolved, or authorized the endorsement of any political candidate or political party whatsoever.

Our members hold diverse political views, and those views remain personal and protected under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

We hereby advise Mr. Johnson Ogbonna and any other individual or group engaging in similar acts to immediately desist from using the Association's name to advance personal or political agendas.

Any further attempt to misrepresent the position of the Association may leave us with no option but to pursue appropriate legal remedies to protect the integrity and reputation of our organization.

"Truth needs no decoration, and falsehood can never become truth through repetition."

We urge the general public to disregard the said publication in its entirety and rely only on official communications issued by the leadership of the Okpameri Youth Association (Registered).

We remain committed to fostering unity, inclusiveness, peace, and development among all Okpameri youths and shall continue to stand above partisan politics in the interest of our people.

We sincerely appreciate the *Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency,* *Senator Monday Okpebholo,*

Once again, OKPAFEST is here! The festival will be happening live in Somorika on 30th December, 2025. This is yet another golden opportunity to foster unity through our rich cultural heritage, because truly, there is power in culture.
