UPDATED PANEL LINEUP | LIFE BEYOND LIMB LOSS
As we get closer to our upcoming virtual conversation, we are pleased to share an update to the panel lineup for βLife Beyond Limb Loss: A Conversation on Rehabilitation, Inclusion & Resilience.β
Joining us from Uganda is Kangume Charlotte, disability inclusion advocate and Co-founder of Amputee Self - Help Network Uganda (ASNU).
Charlotte brings a powerful lived experience perspective and a deep commitment to creating opportunities for people living with disabilities to rebuild their confidence, independence and participation in society.
Her work through ASNU reflects an important part of the conversation we want to have: life after limb loss is not only about receiving a prosthesis. It is also about having the opportunity to return to school, work, community, relationships and everyday life.
She will join:
Esther Ugochi Friday - Prosthetist & Orthotist, Nigeria
Dr. Mahlet Tamiru - Medical Doctor & Medical Business Developer, Ethiopia | Moderator
Together, they will explore the realities of rehabilitation, inclusion, resilience and life beyond amputation from both lived-experience and professional perspectives.
