A CALL TO ACTION TO MEMBERS OF THE FOUNDATION FOR STUDENT MISSION (FSM)
Calvary greetings to you people of God. As we commence activities of FSM in 2026 with Operation Brother's Keeper (OBK), the starting point for individuals is awakening to missions and renewed commitment.
The Foundation for Student Mission (FSM) was birthed out of a clear divine mandate: to mobilise, disciple, and equip Christian students and youths for missions and kingdom service. Over the years, God has used FSM as a platform to raise passionate labourers for His harvest fields across campuses, churches, and communities. At this crucial season in our journey, there is an urgent need for every FSM member to awaken afresh to the call of missions and to renewed commitment to the organisation.
1. A Call to Spiritual Awakening
FSM is first and foremost a spiritual movement before it is an organisation. Members are therefore called to return to the place of prayer, personal devotion, and sensitivity to God’s heartbeat for the nations. Missions thrive where there is spiritual depth. Let us intentionally seek God’s direction, power, and burden for souls, allowing Him to renew our passion and realign our priorities with His eternal purpose.
2. A Call to Missionary Consciousness
Every FSM member is a missionary—either by going, sending, mobilising, or supporting. Missions is not for a few selected individuals but the collective responsibility of all. Members are called to actively promote mission awareness, participate in outreach programmes, support mission initiatives, and encourage others to respond to God’s call. Where direct involvement is not possible, faithful support through prayers, resources, skills, and advocacy is equally vital.
3. A Call to Active Participation
FSM can only be as effective as the level of engagement of its members. This is a call to move beyond passive association to active involvement. Members are encouraged to participate in meetings, trainings, outreaches, and strategic activities of FSM at all levels—local, regional, and national. Your gifts, time, ideas, and energy are needed for the growth and sustainability of the mission.
4. A Call to Commitment and Responsibility
Commitment to FSM requires faithfulness, integrity, and accountability. Members are called to uphold the values, vision, and policies of the organisation, to serve willingly where assigned, and to support leadership through cooperation and constructive engagement. Financial stewardship, timely communication, and responsibility in assigned roles are essential for organisational effectiveness.
5. A Call to Unity and Sacrifice
Missions demand unity of purpose and sacrificial living. Members are urged to foster love, teamwork, and mutual respect, setting aside personal interests for the advancement of God’s kingdom through FSM. Let us be willing to pay the price—time, comfort, and resources—for the sake of fulfilling the Great Commission.
Conclusion
This is a defining moment for FSM. The harvest is ripe, the fields are vast, and the opportunities before us are enormous. Now is the time to awaken, arise, and recommit ourselves fully to the mission God has entrusted to FSM. Let every member take personal responsibility and collective action, so that together we may faithfully raise and deploy a generation of mission-minded students and youths for the glory of God.
