WHICH WAY NIGERIA POLICE?
It is intriguing to note that at this point of our socio-economic and political development, neophytes and charlatans, who have nothing to offer to Project Nigeria, but serve as mere leeches to suck dry our collective economic well-being, just because they are imperfectly corrupt and connected to our national till through all kinds of cronyism.
Nigeria Police serving in the Holi City of Ibadanland “which one una dey?” Why allow yourselves to be used to destabilize the Centre of Gravity of the Globe, which is Humanity’s only hope for survival and perpetuation of the race?
Do you know you would have been at the war front today, fighting a senseless war most of you stand a little chance to survive, talk less telling the story? If not for the saving Grace of Maharaj Ji?
Why meddle in Maharaj Ji Village land that has been adjudicated upon and judgement duly delivered by a competent court of jurisdiction?
On June 6, 2020, a man who calls himself Prince Dare engaged the services of a surveyor and three others to clear and survey portions of Maharaj Ji Village Land. The same Prince Dare deceived and engaged the services of three Mobile Policemen who were on duty at the Police Check Point in front of Maharaj Ji Village, to provide security cover for the Surveyor and his men, while they engaged in their illegal operation.
When our security men got there and demanded to know their mission, the Mobile Policemen explained that Prince, who meanwhile was waiting inside his car that was parked along the expressway, told them that Seye Brodimends, one of the oldest landlords at Odo-Ona Kekere who understands the nitty gritty of politics of land grabbing in the area, gave them the go ahead order to carry on with the service because all nutty issues have been sorted out. Seye Brodimends was invited, and when he arrived at the scene, the mobile Policemen repeated the same statement, adding that Prince was inside a waiting car parked along the expressway. When they got there and Seye confronted him with what the three Policeman said, but the so-called Prince could not substantiate his case and the three Policemen on realizing their follies became ashamed.
Meanwhile, the incident attracted a crowd made up of officers and men of NDLEA, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Custom Service, the hired Policemen and other members of the public. At this point, the hired mobile Policemen sneaked out and disappeared.
Equally, the acclaimed Prince Dare who said he is from the current ruling Olubadan of Ibadanland lineage ran into the Premises of the illegal structure that was forcefully erected on Maharaj Ji Village Land with active connivance with the Police and some members of OPC.
One Love Family security men invited Policemen from the Toll Gate Police Division who came to the scene to effect the arrest of the Prince and his accomplice in crime called Adeleke who is believed to be the supplier of charms and assorted concoctions they buried in Maharaj Ji Village Land.
However, it took the Police Officers over 90 minutes inside the Premises of the factory and rather than arrest the accused two persons, they invited both parties to the dispute to their station the next day being Monday.
It is instructive to note here that the Police complexities in this case has resulted in loss of lives. One of them is Mogaji Aladorin who was held in Police custody for four months, within this period portions of the land was sold to two people named Atere and Olagoke.
Haba, could this still be happening in today’s Nigeria as New Holy Land of the Universe? What could have led the Police to take sides in this matter? Is Nigeria Police in Ibadan truly friends of the people? Why truncate the course of justice?
Under normal circumstances, if anybody feels that he is not okay in a dispute, he/she should go to court and seek for justice. In this particular case, judgment has been given. It is therefore expedient on the Police to enforce the judgment in accordance to the constitution of the land.
What could have led the Police to take sides in this case, right here in the Pace-Setter city? In Lagos State, the law approves that fraudulent land sellers should face firing squad. Why can’t a similar law be replicated in the Pace-Setter State to avoid Police Officers and men creating problems for the leaders in the State.
They should learn from what happened in Minneapolis. As we speak, the Police is in trouble in the US as a result of their fumble in the George Floyd’s sad case. Buhari you are listening, Makinde you are listening, the EFCC, the ICPC; this is the time to call a spade a spade. Ex-Governor Ajumobi knew what was going on but he refused to act. We cannot sit down and allow injustice and lawlessness to reign supreme after we have made so much sacrifice to build this nation. A stitch in time saves nine. The Nigerian Police, Ibadan, has failed and is failing the citizens and Nigeria as a whole!
