Appreciation to My Supporters and Signatories

Yesterday marked a very important step in my political journey, and I do not take it lightly. I am deeply grateful to my leaders, brothers, sisters and APC member who took time out of their busy schedules to come in person and sign my nomination form. Your presence was not just an act of support, but a strong statement of belief in the vision we share.

To those who could not be physically present but still sent in their details to ensure this process moved forward, I equally appreciate your commitment and trust. Your efforts did not go unnoticed, and I hold every one of you in high regard.

This journey is not mine alone—it belongs to all of us who believe in fairness, representation, and the power of the people. Your support strengthens my resolve to continue this race with courage, integrity, and dedication to service.

I remain committed to being a voice for the people and to upholding the values that unite us. Together, we will continue to push for a process that reflects the true will of our people.

Today, the 5th of May, I officially obtained my Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms under the All Progressives Congress (APC), a decision driven by conviction, courage, and an unwavering belief in the power of the people.

This journey has not been easy. It has been marked by pressure, discouragement, and repeated advice to abandon my ambition—some insisting that the process had already been concluded through a so-called “consensus” arrangement.

I was told not to waste my resources, that the outcome had been predetermined. But I refused to yield to that narrative.

I have taken this step in good faith, not for personal gain, but for the people of Ona Ara Local Government. I believe strongly that democracy must be upheld, and that the right of the people to choose their representative through a free, fair, and credible primary election must not be compromised.

This is bigger than one individual; it is about fairness, justice, and the integrity of our political process. I stand firmly for direct primaries, where every voice counts and every vote matters.

If, at the end of the day, the good people of Ona Ara Local Government decide otherwise, I will humbly accept their decision. However, I am confident that they will stand on the side of truth, equity, and progress.

This is a call to action—for all who believe in democracy, for all who believe that power truly belongs to the people. Together, let us uphold what is right.

ASB 2027: Strategic Leaders’ Engagement in Ona Ara

Hon. Akinbode Samuel Busayo (ASB) yesterday continued his strategic consultation and familiarization visits across Ona Ara Local Government, meeting with respected party leaders and stakeholders to strengthen unity within the APC and advance his vision for 2027.

As part of the visitation, ASB paid courtesy visits to notable leaders including Hon. Bayo Ogunsola and Hon. Ismaila Akanni (Eree), where he engaged in fruitful discussions centered on party cohesion, grassroots development, and inclusive leadership.
At the peak of the engagements, Hon. Akinbode passionately appealed for unity among all factions of APC in Ona Ara, emphasizing that collective strength remains the only path to sustainable political success and community progress.
Seizing the moment, he officially declared his intention to contest for the Ona Ara State House of Assembly seat in the 2027 general election.

Similarly, during the visit to Hon. Ismaila Akanni (Eree), the atmosphere was warm and receptive. Hon. A New Dawn for Ona Ara: My Journey to Serve Begins Today

Today, I stood before the great people of Ona Ara; our respected leaders, dedicated members, and the entire family of APC Ona Ara, with a heart full of gratitude and a clear sense of purpose.

I, Hon. Akinbode Samuel Busayo, humbly declared my intention to contest for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ona Ara Constituency.

This decision is not driven by personal ambition alone, but by a deep commitment to serve, to uplift our people, and to be a true voice for every ward, every community, and every individual in Ona Ara.

I sincerely appreciate the overwhelming support, encouragement, and belief shown to me by the good people of Ona Ara, especially our esteemed leaders and committed members of APC Ona Ara.

Your trust strengthens my resolve, and I do not take it for granted.

By the grace of God and with your mandate come 2027, I pledge to lead with inclusiveness, transparency, and accountability.

Together, we will build a representation that listens, that delivers, and that truly reflects the aspirations of our people.

Our party chairman, Prince Kolawole Ogundipe, in his wisdom, charged all members to embrace unity and love, reminding us that this is the time to build stronger bonds and make more friends across all divides. His message is clear; only a united APC can secure victory in 2027.

Also lending his voice, the former Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Hon. Ogundele (popularly known as BAO), reaffirmed the chairman’s call for unity. He urged everyone to let go of grievances, settle differences, and focus on what truly matters; winning all elective positions in the forthcoming general elections.

In continuation of its strategic grassroots engagement, the ASB Election Planning Team today visited ASB Foundation members in Ward 10, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening internal structures and deepening unity within the movement.

The meeting, which was specifically held with members of the ASB Foundation, witnessed active participation and a strong display of loyalty and dedication to the shared vision of Hon. Akinbode Samuel Busayo.

Speaking at the gathering, Mrs. Olaiya Bunmi, Coordinator of the ASB Foundation, appreciated members for their consistency and steadfast support. She emphasized the importance of solidarity among Foundation members, noting that their collective strength remains a driving force behind the growing success of the movement across Ona Ara Local Government.

At Ward 03, the engagement featured robust participation from key ward leaders, including Mrs. Dasola Olalekan, former Woman Leader; Mrs. Elizabeth Ogundiran, Ward Secretary; Hon. Kehinde Abimbola, Ward Chairman; Mr. Muyiwa Ogunshina, Vice Chairman; Mr. Ganiyu Akoda, Local Exco; and Mr. Idowu Tiawo, Coordinator/Auditor of the ward.

In their separate remarks, they emphasized the need for unity, sustained grassroots mobilization, and continued loyalty to the vision and leadership of Hon. Akinbode Samuel Busayo. Speaking during the event, a respected party figure and Local Ex-Officio, Mama Olajide Jimoh, called on leaders and members of the APC to remain committed to collective progress. Easter is a powerful reminder of sacrifice, victory, and renewal. It reassures us that even in the face of challenges, hope prevails and a brighter future is always within reach. This enduring message strengthens our collective resolve to build a more united, progressive, and prosperous society.
