Theme: Travel and Discover: A Historical Time Across Borders
Date: Saturday, 13th September 2025
Organizers: JCI Sidi Mansour (Tunisia), JCI Premier (Nigeria), JCI Adana (Türkiye), and JCI Cosmopolis (Finland)
Introduction
On Saturday, 13th September 2025, four countries, four languages, and four cultures came together to make a global impact under the theme: Travel and Discover; A Historical Time Across Borders.
The event was a collaborative initiative between JCI Sidi Mansour (Tunisia), JCI Premier (Nigeria), JCI Adana (Türkiye), and JCI Cosmopolis (Finland). It provided a dynamic and interactive platform where participants traveled virtually across borders, learned about different cultures, and strengthened international ties.
It was a unique experience that left participants with lasting memories and deeper global connections.
Country Presentations
Finland
Presenter: Alimou Diallo Alimou Diallo who is a seasoned Entrepreneur, Community Builder, and Trial Member of JCI Cosmopolis.
Alimou beautifully presented Finland, popularly known as the “Land of a Thousand Lakes.” He highlighted Finland’s 188,000 lakes, 41 national parks, vast wilderness, and lush forests, all of which make the country an outdoor paradise.
Top Attractions are Lapland for Northern Lights, Lake Päijänne, Nuuksio National Park, Åland Islands, Rovaniemi, Tampere, Turku, Porvoo, Lemmenjoki National Park, and Helsinki which is referred to as the gateway to Finland.
Cultural Life: A mix of history and modernity with art museums such as Kiasma, the Design Museum, and vibrant cafes.
Food Highlights: Finnish cuisine includes Karjalanpiirakka (Karelian pasty), Kalakukko (fish pie), Ruisleipä (rye bread), Hernekeitto (pea soup), Mustikkapiirakka (blueberry pie), and Lohikeitto (salmon soup).
He emphasized that beyond its landscapes, Finns deeply value silence, nature, and simplicity.
Türkiye (Turkey)
Presenter: Emin Seyhan who is an Export Sales Expert and Vibrant Member of JCI Adana.
Emin showcased Turkey as a land of immense natural beauty, history, and culture.
Top Attractions are Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale & Hierapolis, Ancient Ephesus, Butterfly Valley, Bodrum, Mount Ararat, Blue Lagoon (Oludeniz), Koprulu Canyon, Ankara, and Trabzon & the Black Sea Coast.
Culinary Delights: Turkey is home to the world’s most famous kebabs. Foods presented included:
Döner Kebab, Lahmacun, Pide, Gözleme, Güveç, Köfte, Adana Kebab, Dolma, Iskender Kebab, Baklava, and Kuru Fasulye to mention a few.
He emphasized how Turkey’s cuisine and traditions reflect its rich cultural identity.
Nigeria
Presenter: JCIN Amb. Iseoluwa Christianah Adeniji Adeniji Ewaoluwanimi Iseoluwa who is the Local Organization President, JCI Premier.
Iseoluwa presented Nigeria, a country with deep history, cultural diversity, and vibrant traditions.
Heritage & Monuments: Olumo Rock, Idanre Hills, Zuma Rock, A*o Rock, Kano Wall, National Museum Lagos, and Cocoa House Ibadan.
Food & Music: She highlighted Nigeria’s world-famous party Jollof rice, rich cuisine, and the vibrancy of Afrobeat music. Iconic mentions included Fela Anikulapo Kuti and his legendary shrine in Lagos.
Culture: Nigeria remains a nation of resilience, energy, and color, blending tradition with modern creativity.
Tunisia
Presenter: Mondher Louati who is the Executive Vice President, JCI Tunisia (E Area).
Mondher presented Tunisia as a country of stunning landscapes, rich history, and warm hospitality.
Top Attractions are Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, Hammamet, Djerba, Sousse, Sahara Desert, Tunis Medina, Monastir Ribat, Nabeul, and Port El Kantaoui.
Culture: Tunisia blends ancient history with vibrant traditions, offering visitors a mix of coastlines, deserts, and cultural towns.
Culinary Delights: Omek Houria, Tunisian Ojja, Couscous, Kammounia, Masfouf, Zrir, Hlalem, and Tabouna Bread.
He also emphasized Tunisia’s importance as the host of the JCI World Congress in November 2025, inviting participants to experience its beauty firsthand.
Goals of the Event
* Promote Cultural Exchange & Awareness
* Showcase the unique nature, heritage, and cuisines of Tunisia, Nigeria, Türkiye, and Finland.
* Broaden participants’ perspectives and foster appreciation for global diversity.
* Increase Visibility for the JCI World Congress 2025 in Tunisia
* Position Tunisia as an attractive destination ahead of the congress.
* Highlight must-visit places and cultural attractions.
* Strengthen JCI Collaboration
*Demonstrate the power of cross-continental partnerships.
*Build stronger ties between JCI Sidi Mansour, JCI Premier, JCI Adana, and JCI Cosmopolis.
Conclusion
The Travel & Discover 2025 event was a remarkable success, proving that we do not need a passport or plane ticket to build international friendships or learn about other cultures. By leveraging JCI’s digital platforms, members connected across borders, shared experiences, and celebrated diversity.

This project has not only educated participants but also laid a strong foundation for global collaboration, leaving us excited for the upcoming JCI World Congress in Tunisia.
Indeed, Travel & Discover 2025 was more than an event, it was a journey of unity, culture, and impact.
