The Rag Room!
“The Rag Room” simplicita represents the hidden areas of our lives and businesses where we keep our vulnerabilities, struggles, and imperfections.
Most of the times we don't want others know or see those rags kept somewhere because we had termed them to be "not-fit-for-sight!"
If we have any visitor visiting us, we like to showcase the best parts of our lives, homes and businesses but keep the "rag rooms" away from public glare!
✓Does it mean we can't be proud of those rags we keep here and then?
✓Are those rags not the ones we had used or worn till they faded away?
✓Are these not what were in vogue until now we had classed them as rags?
If these aren't fit well for public consumption, why are we still keeping them?
You know you have rags like:👇
Anger.
Pride.
Ego.
Lies.
Insincerity.
Inconsistencies.
Indiscipline.
Inability to be corrected.
Bad character.
Unforgiveness. etc
A lot of people had said it to your face about your "rag rooms" which your careless to tidy up and those rag rooms are really smelling, keeping people away from you....
✓Have you not perceived the odour coming from there and how untidy the rooms are?🙈🥹
✓Why can't you allow others (intentional and dynamic individuals) help you work on your rags to clean up and tidy things up?
Remember! Everybody has rags they keep in their lives, homes and businesses and so, you aren't the only one keeping those BUT you can decide to be helped as we approach the new year 2025.
✓Identify upwardly mobile and dynamic Individuals that can help:
You have to intentionally seek out for mentors, coaches, or peers who have expertise in areas where you struggle. Their insights can illuminate the dark areas of your life.
✓You have to be open to vulnerability: By this, you share your challenges with those you really trust. Those who aren't "Parrots" or "Mockers".
This fosters connection and invites others to share their own experiences, enriching your learning curve and process.
✓Graciously establish accountability: There's the need to collaborate with knowledgeable individuals to set goals and track their progress by being accountable to them for your growth. Look out for accountability partners and be accountable to them for your growth!
✓There's the need to embrace continuous learning:
Yes you have the rags, no doubts about that. But there's the need for you to leave your comfort zones to attend workshops, join discussion groups, speak with people that had experience about your struggles.
Knowledge gained through learning can inspire action and change for good!
✓Don't keep quiet and suffer in silence... speak out!🙏
Exposing those rag rooms in your life, home and business early can help us transform our vulnerabilities into strengths.
Though not easy I must confess, but this journey; if we care to embark on it; would not only enhances our personal growth but can also lead to positive changes within our lives, homes and business practices.
Creatively, intentionally and purposefully engaging with others who possess different experiences and knowledge can facilitate a deeper understanding of ourselves and empower us to move past our limitations and become more confident to x-ray our lives in the searchlight of purposeful living with no fear of intimidation and performance below par!
So, when are you working on your rag rooms? This week or later?
Remember! As everyone has his/her rags rooms, be bold to talk about yours and never be angry when people talk about them in your presence but embrace the challenge for a better you!
Don't forget to get an accountability partner to help you in your journey of becoming a better !
