WALKED 85KM TO AKHIN AFRICA VILLAGE.Let that sink in.85 kilometers. On bare hope. On burning rage. On faith mixed with ashes.

At 8:43 pm (West Africa Time), the village was quiet.Then came a knock.Not a soft one.A knock that carried exhaustion, anger, hunger, and survival.

Four youngsters stood at our gate.

Two of them… we knew them already.They had been rescued from the streets before.Given safety. Given care.But the streets pulled them back, as they often do.Because healing is not a straight line. It has ups, downs, and raw rage.

Back on the streets, they spoke.They told others about a place.A place called AKHIN AFRICA.A place with energy, not judgment.A place where no child is stigmatized, no matter the story.A place where pain is not a label.

When the gate finally opened, one voice broke the silence.

“We need water.I walked 85km to get here.”

No drama.No exaggeration.Just truth.Just ashes in his throat and fire in his eyes.

That moment hit us hard.

Because we have always known this truth:These youngsters don’t need pity.They need belonging.A place that feels like the street in its energy,but has the structure to rebuild lives.A place they can finally call theirs.

That walk of 85km was not just a journey.It was a statement.It was rage turned into direction.Pain turned into movement.Hope walking through exhaustion.

And it reignited our fire.

This is why we are more committed than ever.This task is not optional.It is a priority.And we will not stop.

As the new academic year begins, we are preparing to send 20 youngsters back to school—children who, without support, may miss the opportunity to learn and grow.

It takes just ₦63,000 (about $40) to cover the full academic year for one child, including:

School bag – ₦15,000
School sandals – ₦10,000
Uniform – ₦10,000
Socks – ₦3,000
Exercise books & pens – ₦7,000
Calculator (for SS classes) – ₦7,500
School lunch allowance (per term) – ₦6,000
School levy (per term) – ₦4,500
