In Africa, there are a lot of challenges facing the girl child. With detailed study over the years, these challenges have been best categorized under the niche of Education, Health and basic Human rights that shouldn’t be gender depriving. The girl child, like her awesome gender counterpart is also faced with these enormous challenges but we are compelled to attend to the more vulnerable the girl
child and women at large. The feminine gender has been vulnerable to threat over the decade; with expressions compelling her to be slaves in her world, forcing her never to dream bigger than the other gender- the assumption she might get overriding, complexities of inferiority among other capable wrong societal agreements. Potential girls have been led into abuse act like early marriages, s*x trades, maids and these have cause a lot to underperform and never reach their dreams
Most African parents assumed its wasteful to invest in the girl child, others feel a girl child may never come back home after been ‘sold out in marriage’, some are also compelled to pray for a male child- these societal agreement has been a major component of the continent set back. WHAT WE SET TO ACHIEVE:
To see a new Africa where the girl child is celebrated, empowered, educated, and creating mastery of purpose, exercise of human rights and total engagement of women
