Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Oyo State Holds 5th Bi-Annual Quiz and Qur’an Competition

The Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter, has held its Bi-Annual Quiz and Qur’an Competition, bringing together members from across the state and distinguished guests to promote Islamic knowledge, Qur’anic recitation, and intellectual development among the Khuddam.
In his welcome address, the State Qaid, Mr Badejo Taofeek, warmly welcomed members and guests to the programme. He appreciated their presence and participation, setting the tone for an event focused on Islamic learning, spiritual development, and the promotion of Qur’anic knowledge.
The programme was chaired by the Sadr of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Al-Hafidh Alaka AbdRofeeq, whose presence underscored the significance of the competition in advancing the educational and spiritual objectives of the organisation.
The competition featured 75 contestants from various DIL’A across Oyo State, participating in both the Qur’an and Quiz competitions. The contestants competed across five categories, demonstrating their knowledge of Islam, commitment to learning, and Qur’anic recitation skills.
As part of the initiative to encourage academic and religious excellence, winners in each category received cash prizes and scholarships in recognition of their outstanding performances. The rewards were designed to motivate participants, support their educational pursuits, and encourage continued dedication to Islamic learning.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Naib Sadr (Administration), Al-Hafidh Ismail AbdulQuadri; former Sadr, Mr AbdRafi AbdQuadri; and former State Qaideen, Dr Dikko Daud, Comrade Awe AbdAkeem, Mr Hussein Mutfaudeen, and Alhaji Apooyin AbdMujeeb. A representative of Lajnah Imaillah was also present, alongside other invited guests and members of the organisation.
Beyond the competitive aspect, the Bi-Annual Quiz and Qur’an Competition provided a platform for intellectual engagement, spiritual growth, and the development of young Muslims. It also strengthened the spirit of unity, discipline, and healthy competition among members from the various DIL’A across Oyo State.
The event reflects the continued commitment of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Oyo State Chapter to promoting Islamic education, nurturing young talents, and encouraging excellence in Qur’anic knowledge and understanding among its members.
Through initiatives such as this, the organisation continues to invest in the spiritual, intellectual, and educational development of Khuddam, inspiring them to become knowledgeable, disciplined, and responsible members of society.
