Dearest Volunteers, Supporters, and Well-wishers,

We are thrilled to share a powerful new chapter in our journey.

We are proud to announce that Pad A Queen Initiative is now One Woman Health Initiative 🎉

This new name reflects our deepened and expanded mission: to support women’s health across the entire lifecycle — from menstruation to menopause.

🌺 What’s Changing?

Our scope now includes a holistic and comprehensive focus on:
🩸 Menstrual Health
🧠 Mental Health
🤰🏾 Maternal Health
🌸 Menopause Health

We believe that every woman and girl deserves access to health, dignity, and well-being at every stage of life. Our commitment to menstrual health and education remains as strong as ever, and now, we’re growing to meet even more needs, with the same passion and purpose you’ve always supported.

💫 Why the Change?

Because health doesn’t start or stop with a period. By expanding our reach, we’re better positioned to empower women and girls, remove taboos, influence policy, and provide comprehensive, life-changing support.

💖 What Stays the Same?

• Our dedication to grassroots impacts
• Our belief in community-powered change
• And most importantly; you, our incredible network of volunteers and supporters

As we move forward as One Woman Health, we invite you to continue this journey with us.

Unfortunately, we lost access to our previous page (Pad A Queen Initiative), so we kindly ask that you follow our new official page "One Woman Health" to stay connected.

Thank you for being part of a movement that uplifts, educates, and transforms lives.

Together, we are building a world where every woman can live with dignity, health, and power.

With gratitude and excitement,

Saheedat Adetayo
Executive Director,
One Woman Health Initiative

Because 2am cramps with no ibuprofen is a special kind of hell, here’s a pre-period checklist. A little planning now means you can actually rest when your body needs it most, instead of making emergency runs or suffering through preventable discomfort.

On this day, we join the world to raise our voices for access to mental health services and prioritising investments in building sustainable structures, infrastructures and solutions to global mental health crisis.

"This year's theme is 'access to services - mental health in catastrophes and emergencies'. The theme highlights the importance of people being able to protect their mental health in times of global instability.

For this year's World Mental Health Day, we're focusing on the mental health impact of repeated exposure to news coverage of crises and conflicts.

The world is going through a tough time right now and even if you're not directly affected by events, it can still feel like a lot to cope with. It's okay to ask for help, no matter what you, or anyone else is going through" -

Simple daily choices like eating well, moving your body, sleeping enough, staying on top of check-ups, and protecting your mental health can make all the difference. Small habits = long-term wellness.

Save this as a reminder to check in with yourself!

Gentle reminder to breastfeeding mothers: You cannot pour from an empty cup. 🤱✨
Your body is doing incredible work nourishing your little one, but don't forget to nourish yourself too. Rest when you can. Hydrate constantly. Ask for help with meals, housework, or just holding the baby while you shower.

Self-care is essential. A well-cared-for mother is better equipped to care for her baby. Your needs matter just as much.

“Boys shouldn’t learn about menstruation.”
Not true — and here’s why👇🏽

Menstrual health is not a girls-only conversation. When boys are educated, stigma reduces, support grows, and we move closer to a society that embraces dignity and empathy for all.

Let’s normalize period education — for everyone.
Together, we’re building a more informed, respectful, and period-friendly world. 💪🏽💖

Menstrual dignity means having access to affordable period products, accurate information, and the freedom to manage menstruation without shame and this is important to breaking stigma and opening up conversations that drive real policy change.

MYTH OR FACT? Let’s talk about fibroids.
Many believe painful periods are "just part of being a woman." But the truth is, persistent or severe pain can signal conditions like fibroids or endometriosis — and too often, they go undiagnosed or misunderstood.

💡 July is Fibroid Awareness Month, and we're using our voice at One Woman Health Initiative to raise awareness, spark early detection, and break the silence.

Swipe. Save. Share. Let’s unlearn the myths and prioritize menstrual health. 🧠💪🏾

Your period is not just about the flow — it’s about the whole body.

Many menstrual symptoms — like cramps, fatigue, and mood swings — are linked to our diet and daily habits.

In this post, we break down the small but powerful changes that can support your cycle.

✅ Eat clean
✅ Move gently
✅ Stay hydrated
✅ Track what works for you

Because menstrual wellness is not luxury — it’s a necessity.
