FROM VULNERABILITY TO VICTORY: The Blooming of Cohort 3
At BloomingDames Centre, we believe that when you change a woman’s story, you change the trajectory of a community.
Since August 2025, five courageous women have been on a journey of total restoration at our Safe House, trading exploitative circumstances for the tools of dignity and honour to the Lord.
As we prepare for their Graduation Ceremony this Wednesday, March 18, we are proud to show how this grassroots work drives the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) forward right here in Ibadan:
SDG 1: NO POVERTY
We aren't just giving a handout; we are providing a "hand up." By equipping our ladies with start-up tools in Tailoring, Catering, and Hairdressing, we are breaking the cycle of economic lack and ensuring long-term financial independence.
SDG 5: GENDER EQUALITY
Empowerment is the antidote to exploitation. We are giving these women the agency, skills, and confidence to reclaim their places as leaders in their homes and society.
SDG 8: DECENT WORK & ECONOMIC GROWTH
Every woman deserves a career that honors her dignity. We are transitioning our graduates from high-risk, informal occupations into sustainable, value-driven entrepreneurship.
SDG 17: PARTNERSHIPS FOR THE GOALS
We are honored to be joined by the Oyo State Ministry of Women Affairs, Health, and Trade.
True change happens when government and civil society work hand-in-hand.
