Odyssey Educational Foundation We are an independent non-profit foundation that works to promote STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering and Maths) in Africa.

Odyssey Schools Program is the Foundation’s initiative to ensure that children in public schools receive an enriched learning experience by our team. Our teams are present in these schools on an agreed day and time of the week to teach them Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics subjects. The Foundation does this to reverse the trend of declining enrolments of especially the girl child a

nd other kids in STEM programs, by engaging students in innovative learning through a variety of stimulating activities that promote interest in STEM and the pursuit of STEM careers

we believe the future belongs to young minds empowered with knowledge, innovation, and opportunity.
Our recent ICT for All Program, in collaboration with at , brought together students for an inspiring hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence, satellite data interpretation, coding, and technology exploration.
From training AI models with Teachable Machine to programming interactive outputs in Scratch, participants gained practical skills, expanded their creativity, and discovered how technology can solve real-world problems. The session also encouraged students to dream bigger by exploring opportunities in STEM, space technology, and global innovation.

Beyond learning, the program sparked curiosity, confidence, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of how AI systems are built and applied in everyday life.

Inside Our Raspberry Pi AI Session — Small Group, Big Energy

Something exciting went down at the Fab Lab of on April 25th, 2026 — and trust me, it was giving future tech leaders in the making
We hosted a hands-on session introducing participants to the world of Raspberry Pi microcomputers and the new AI HAT+ 2 module — basically showing how small devices can power smart, real-world AI solutions. From understanding the basics to seeing live demos in action, it wasn’t just talk… it was tech brought to life.
What made it hit different?
We kept it interactive. No boring lectures. Just real conversations, live setups, and curious minds asking smart questions all through.
The outcome?
• Solid foundation in Raspberry Pi + AI integration
• High engagement (everyone was locked in
• 2 out of 3 participants already want to keep learning (we love to see it
What we learned:
Smaller groups = deeper understanding. When people can ask questions freely and actually see things working, learning sticks better.
What’s next?
We’re taking it further — more hands-on sessions, more real building, and bigger opportunities to explore AI + embedded systems.

The Fab & Fierce Challenge, organized by Fab Connect Her, empowers girls and women to celebrate trailblazers in STEAM by transforming their stories into creative, real-world solutions.

The Challenge:

Winning Project: “EarthLight – GPS Box”
Inspired by the brilliant Dr. Gladys Mae West, this project brings hidden history to life through design and technology.
Dr. Gladys West was a pioneering mathematician whose work on satellite data and mathematical modeling of the Earth’s shape made modern GPS possible. Her calculations helped achieve the level of accuracy that billions of people rely on today for navigation, mapping, and communication

Despite her groundbreaking impact, she remained one of the “hidden figures” in science for decades—reminding us how many women have shaped the world behind the scenes

EarthLight transforms this legacy into a visual experience—using a laser-cut world map and LED signals to represent how satellites connect across the globe, powered by precise mathematical models.
