The Mandate Health Empowerment Initiative (MHEI) is a CAC registered nongovernmental organization in Nigeria centred on promoting mental health and psychosocial support, especially for pregnant women, school-age children and internally displaced persons. our fundamental objectives are to champion the campaign on mental health conditions in Africa. we promote mental well being, prevent mental disorders, provide care and enhance recovery m promote human right advocacy, also we engage in reducing the mortality, morbidity and disability for persons with mental health disorders in Africa, particularly Nigeria.

Children and adolescents are not only the leaders of tomorrow—they are valuable assets of today. Investing in their mental wellbeing strengthens families, improves educational outcomes, reduces risky behaviours, enhances productivity, and contributes to safer and more prosperous communities. A mentally healthy generation is a foundation for sustainable national development.

For over a decade, the The Mandate Health Empowerment Initiative (MHEI) has championed mental health awareness, advocacy, capacity building, and community engagement, impacting thousands of lives across Nigeria and Africa. We call on governments, development partners, corporate organizations, philanthropists, and community stakeholders to partner with us through funding, technical support, and strategic collaboration to expand access to mental health promotion, prevention, and early intervention services for children and adolescents. Together, we can build resilient young people, stronger families, and healthier nations.
