In a landmark effort to uplift the youth of Gudi, The Great Affikson Hope Foundation, under the leadership of CEO Philip Affiku Stephen, paid a homage visit to Hon. Moses Alex Murtala in his hometown of Water Board Gudi. The visit marked the launch of a transformative skills training program aimed at equipping the younger generation with practical expertise for sustainable livelihood. Hon. Moses Alex Murtala warmly received the foundation’s delegation, expressing gratitude for being selected as a key partner in this initiative. He pledged his unwavering support to the foundation, stating, “I am honored to be part of this vision from today onward. Together, we will create opportunities that outlive us.”
During the engagement, CEO Philip Affiku Stephen emphasized the critical role of vocational training in today’s society: “Education remains vital, but skills are the currency of the modern economy. Schools alone cannot address unemployment—practical training bridges this gap.”
Notably, Affikson Hope Foundation is set to train over 200 participants, and Hon. Murtala has graciously agreed to co-sponsor 100 of these participants.
The foundation presented 60 copies of the form to Hon. Murtala, with the program slated to commence on October 1, 2025 and end December, 2025 with graduation, presentation of start up package, Christmas gifts, fundraising and award presentation to some individuals. The initiative will focus on equipping participants with hands-on skills to foster self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
Hon. Murtala vowed to mobilize local support for the foundation’s mission, while a committee member appealed for broader visibility: “We urge you, sir, to connect us with your network—friends, companies, and allies—to amplify our impact beyond Gudi.”
The event concluded with a heartfelt prayer for the foundation’s leadership and management, asking for divine provision to sustain their humanitarian work. May God bless The Great Affikson Hope Foundation, its CEO,
