Workshop Highlight | 20th January, 2026

The Jewel Literary and Creativity Foundation (JLCF), in collaboration with Sa'id Sa'ad Abubakar, successfully hosted a powerful capacity-building workshop for young journalists in Gombe State.

The session featured a hybrid masterclass facilitated by Sa’id Sa’ad Abubakar (DW, Germany), who shared deep insights on media ethics, storytelling, and global journalism standards.

Participants also benefited from an engaging physical session with Salisu Ibrahim (Legit NG), focusing on practical newsroom skills, digital reporting, and real-life media experiences in amplifying AI in newsrooms.

From interactive discussions to hands-on learning, the workshop empowered young journalists with the tools, confidence, and mentorship needed to excel in today’s media landscape.
