Hilltop Creative Arts Foundation Gombe Branch Celebrates World Poetry Day, 2025

Hilltop Creative Arts Foundation, Gombe State Chapter, successfully hosted an event to commemorate World Poetry Day 2025.

The celebration, which took place at the Window on America, Abdullahi Mahadi Library, Gombe State University, brought together poetry enthusiasts, literary icons, and stakeholders from across Gombe State.

The event featured inspiring poetry performances and engaging discussions, highlighting the power of poetry to promote peace, inclusivity, collaborative relationships and creativity. Notable guests in attendance included Comrade Aliyu Danladi, author of "Storm Across the Sahel" and Project Manager at Jewel Literary and Creativity Foundation, alongside Mal. Abubakar Khaddabi, the financial manager of Jewel Literary and Creativity Foundation.

Members and executives of Hilltop Creative Arts Foundation, as well as students from the university, filled the venue with enthusiasm and passion for the spoken word. The energy in the room was palpable as both established and emerging poets shared their work.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to making this celebration of poetry truly memorable. Your participation and support fuel our mission to nurture creative expression in our community.
