By providing girls with access to quality education, we empower them with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to reach their full potential. Education enables girls to challenge traditional gender roles, advocate for their rights, and contribute to a more equitable society. In addition, it equips them with essential health and hygiene knowledge, enabling them to make informed decisions about their well-being.

Gender-based violence is a pervasive social issue in Nigeria, particularly in the northern regions. The Boko Haram insurgency has exacerbated this crisis, leading to a surge in domestic violence, sexual exploitation, forced early marriage, and r**e, especially among minors.
A harrowing report by the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) documented at least 5,623 cases of gender-based violence within four years across the northeastern states of Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa as a direct consequence of the Boko Haram insurgency.
In response to this alarming trend, Life chance for children and women has partnered with the Yobe state government to implement training programs aimed at empowering children and women with self-protection skills.
