Devatop Centre for Africa Development is a youth-led nonprofit organization with focus on combating and preventing human trafficking, empowering women & youths; and educational transformation. DEVATOP uses 21st-century approaches to address human trafficking, r**e, female ge***al mutilation, educational, problems and to empower young people. We have been consistently, persistently and insistently impacting the lives of young people in different states of Nigeria.

Every child deserves a safe space to be heard, understood, and reminded of their worth. At our recent Child Mentorship Clinics in Adosoba and Okoko Communities, 44 Child Domestic Workers took part in interactive sessions designed to support their emotional well-being and personal growth.

Through mindfulness exercises, storytelling, creative art, and self-discovery activities, the children explored their emotions, built confidence, and learned healthy ways to express themselves. From affirmations like "I am bold," "I am kind," and "I am creative," to heartfelt conversations about hope, home, and resilience, each child was reminded that their voice matters and their circumstances do not define their future.

Creating safe spaces where children can heal, grow, and dream is an important step toward protecting their rights and building a brighter future.

This activity was carried out by DEVATOP Centre for Africa Development under the Protect Child Domestic Workers from Harm Project, with support from the Freedom Fund.
