Digital spaces can unite, heal, and create opportunities for young people. At the same time, they can also instigate, fuel, and cheer on violence.

While the fight to create regulations that track and reduce such activities online continues, we must remember that our voices matter. We can counter violence with peace, misinformation with truth, and crisis with dialogue.

Poor sanitation is way more dangerous than many of us realize. Blocked drainages, improper waste disposal and dirty surroundings do not just affect how our communities look, they contribute to disease outbreaks, pollution, flooding, and environmental damage which in turn can affect fertile lands and water pathways.

When waste is carelessly disposed of or burned, harmful chemicals and toxic gases are released into the environment, polluting the air, soil, and water we depend on daily. As climate challenges continue to grow, keeping our environments clean is no longer optional but a responsibility we all share.

Sani Kabiru, a trader in Kaduna State speaks on the importance of this.

Young people are not just at the frontline of misinformation; they are also at the forefront of the response to it. The same tools that can divide can also unite. The same networks that spread falsehoods can amplify truth. The difference is in how they are used.
