ABUSE AND MOLESTATION IN THE CHURCH AND SOCIETY
My heart has been so heavy and pained by the rate of r**e and molestation in churches and society, and the perpetrators are left to walk free. I've been angry since last week, just felt like venting out today.
Is it a crime to be born a female? It is irking that once a girl is born, her gender already puts her at risk of harm. There is seldom any girl that hasn't gone through the horrific blade of abuse, especially from those who should protect them. Most girls I've talked to were either abused as kids, adolescents, or teenagers, by their own parent, family member, friend, teacher, even pastor. COME ON! If she manages to escape all these into adulthood, there's still a risk of being abused as a wife by her own husband, a husband who is respected in the society and church!! Lecturers are even worst. They do theirs with authority. The girl or boy must do it or repeat till they die. What crime did females commit?!
Why do abused girls feel they are the ones to be ashamed? Why does the church and society make them feel that way and harbor the perpetrators? Why do abused girls always have this mentality that nobody will believe them and there's nobody to listen? This mentality hurts me. Keeping quiet has never made any girl feel better. Please, always speak up immediately it happens, let justice and healing take its course. NEVER LET A RA**ST OR ABUSER GO FREE WITH YOUR SILENCE, IT ONLY GIVES THEM ALLOWANCE TO HURT MORE GIRLS. Let it be that you spoke up but no one believed you.
And some parents need to be flogged and konked. Lots of foolish and careless parents everywhere, bringing up nuisances and wounded children because they never listen to their kids. Wrong parenting is when you are always the one talking, shouting, beatingโฆ Good parenting is when you are your child's friend, safe haven, and disciplinarian. It must be balanced!
Why do most perpetrators of evil bear christian names and have christian background, from christian families, dedicated in church? What went wrong? When did Christian become a robber/ritualist? How did Christiana become a hookup babe? What happened? How did Justice become a cultist/rapist? How did Justina become a kidnapper/sex-trafficker? Who tampered with their destiny?! Where and when did it happen?!
Even males are not safe anymore. I saw a news of a young boy that was molested by his pastor! Another boy was molested by his Sunday School teacher at 5!! When did pastor and Sunday School teacher become gay and pe*****le?!!
Church has wounded a lot of people. Church is the reason why many don't go to church or believe in God. This makes it difficult to restore people back to Christ, genuine churches are even seen as bad churches because of the damages false individuals have caused. How do you win a soul and bring them to church and titled members or deacons or even the pastor is waiting to devour the body and soul, especially female converts?! The church wound people so much that genuine churches and pastors are looked at with suspicious eyes.
Position in church should be by the Holy Spirit, not by appointment or election. Giving positions to a damaged person by appointment or election (instead of giving them help) is enthroning a damaged person to damage more people. As a matter of fact, people will fall under demonic anointing. If someone falls under anointing and stands up unchanged and unedified, there's a big question mark on what anointing the person fell under. People should come to church to be healed, changed and protected, not coming to church only to find out they were safer not coming to church.
The hands of the street is always open. If the church keeps pushing people away, the street never lacks space for them. Omo! So help us, God. ๐ข๐
TEN SIGNS OF AN ABUSED PERSON
1. Unusual Change of Character: From groovy to gloomy. A happy child suddenly becomes quiet. Someone that likes being around people suddenly wants to be alone.
2. Sudden fear of or reluctance to being around a particular person or going to a particular place.
3. Unusual Stubbornness: Many people became stubborn and rebellious after they were abused, especially by someone they looked up to. It's their way of covering their pain.
4. Mood Swing: They don't have a stable emotion. One minute they are happy, the next, they are angry for no reason. They have no trust in anyone, because the person(s) they trusted let them down.
5. Unnecessary Dramas: They usually make a big deal out of nothing. What shouldn't be a problem, they see it as a big problem.
6. Usual Misunderstanding: When you say something or have an argument with them, they see it the other way round, misinterpret what you said to mean something else wherein they are victims and you seem to be an oppressor or the bad person.
7. Shalow Thinking and Lack of Focus: They find it difficult to think deep or focus which is visible in their poor performances at school, work, home, etc. If you pressure them to think deep about a particular thing or try to make them see it the way it is or should be, it looks like you are being harsh on them, no matter how you present it.
8. Unapologetic: They find it difficult to apologize when they do something wrong. If you query them, they twist it around. They always see themselves as the victim, in the sense that you should be the one apologizing to them, even when you didn't offend them.
9. Low Self-esteem: They don't think they are good enough for anything or anyone. They feel somewhat worthless than others.
10. Depression/Aggression: They tend to have no interest in what they usually like or anything at all, or even suicidal, or they get easily agitated and attack anything or anyone they fill is attacking them, even though you're not attacking them. They tend to transfer the aggression of that abuse on anyone or anything that reminds them of their ordeal. They can become solemn or destructive.
These are just few, among others. As a parent, guardian, employer, teacher, or pastor, once you observe any of these signs, don't be foolish. There is a tendency that the person was abused. Sit the person down in a friendly conversation and talk to them, LISTEN MORE AND TALK LESS! If they open up to you, help them get justice or heal.
If you are aware of a r**e or abuse and you cover it up, you are more wicked than the perpetrator. How can a mother be aware a father is abusing his own daughter or someone is abusing your own child and you cover it up because of what you are getting from the person? How can you, as a woman, be aware of an abuse and you are silent because it's not you?
Just last week, a uniformed police officer was caught red-handed, pants down, about to r**e an underaged girl he drugged INSIDE POLICE STATION! And the woman who caught him, instead of reporting immediately, started blackmailing the officer to send her money to keep quiet, otherwise she'd post the video. The man paid her some money, she kept quiet for sometime and later demanded โฆ1m. As the officer didn't pay, she and her family released the video. So, if he had paid, she would have covered it again. Wickedness!!!
