Yesterday, we proudly showcased our rich cultural heritage, and we thank God that everything went well. I sincerely appreciate the organizers, our Town Union, Igwe in Council, our two brothers, Rt. Hon. Barr. Sunday Umeha and Rt. Hon. Barr. Chima E. Obieze who honoured us with their presence, and all our distinguished guests.

Today, being Sunday, marks the core of our Highmass celebration, a remembrance of the very first time Holy Communion was received in our community. I encourage all our Christian sons and daughters to attend mass, listen to the Gospel, and let the teachings of the Church inspire us to work for the peace, unity, and progress of Akama.

Let there peace!

Let there be progress!!!

Special Message to Ndi Akama

Beloved sons and daughters of Akama Oghe,

As we gather to celebrate this year’s Iwa Ji/Highmass, I bring you greetings of peace, unity, and progress. This season reminds us of the blessings of God and the strength we have as a people when we stand together.

I want to sincerely appreciate the good people of Akama Ogwugwu Ebenebe, both home and abroad, for all their kind gestures to individual and collective wellbeing of the community, it delights me so much to see that despite the current economic recession.

Let me use the medium to inform our people that Since my emergence as Igwe-elect Akama Oghe, I have made conscious efforts to reach out to my brothers who contested alongside me. My desire is to reconcile with them and bring them onboard so that together we can move Akama Oghe forward. Leadership is not about division, it is about collaboration, inclusiveness, and service to the people.

I therefore call on every son and daughter of Akama, especially those who may feel aggrieved, to let go of the past and embrace peace. Our community can only grow when we speak with one voice, work with one heart, and pursue one vision.

This is a new chapter for Akama Oghe. Let us rise above our differences and build a legacy of unity, peace, and development for generations to come.

Long live Akama Oghe! Long live Ndi Akama!
