College's Head Boy's Speech:
Good day everyone!
To the teachers, parents, guardians, friends, and most importantly, my fellow graduating students… welcome.
Honestly, standing here today feels weird in the best way possible.
I still can’t fully believe we’re graduating. Like… weren’t we just trying to survive assignments, tests, attendance, and those moments when a teacher says, “submit it now,” and suddenly everybody starts praying…
Somehow, after all the stress, the laughter, the sleepless nights, and the “I’ll read later” promises we never kept… we actually made it.
And if I’m being real, I genuinely thought graduation was still very far away. It always felt like something for “future us.” But now future us is here, and honestly… that’s kind of scary and exciting at the same time.
But today isn’t only about celebration. For some of us, it’s also emotional.
Along this journey, we lost one of our teachers — someone many of us loved deeply. A teacher who didn’t just teach subjects, but impacted lives. Someone whose words, kindness, and presence made school feel a little easier sometimes.
It hurts knowing they’re not here physically to witness this moment with us. But I truly believe their impact is still here. A part of them lives in the lessons they taught us, the advice they gave, and the people they helped shape.
And so today, we remember them with gratitude.
Thank you for everything.
To my classmates… wow. We’ve really been through a lot together.
From serious academic stress to laughing at the most unserious things during class. From group work where only two people actually worked, to helping each other survive exams we definitely thought would finish us.
The memories we made here are memories I know many of us will carry for a very long time.
And to anybody here who ever doubted themselves — trust me, you’re not alone. There were moments I doubted myself too. Moments I felt tired, confused, or unsure about the future. But somehow, step by step, we kept going.
And now look at us.
So as we leave this chapter and move into the next one, I hope we remember that life is not about having everything figured out immediately. Sometimes, it’s just about continuing, learning, growing, and believing in yourself even when things feel uncertain.
We survived this chapter.
And I believe we’ll succeed in the next one too.

College's Head Girl's Speech:
Good afternoon, respected Principal, teachers, proud parents, guests, and the incredible Class of 2026.
First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude to God, whose grace, guidance, and unwavering support have brought every single one of us to this milestone today.
At first, secondary school to me was just about studying, having fun a little, passing the WAEC, and getting into university. But I realised it was much more than that. It was about growth, memories, and building good relationships.
There's a powerful saying that goes, "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime".
Today, as we graduate, we're not leaving this place with just certificates; we're leaving with something far more valuable: knowledge, skills, discipline and the ability to create our own opportunities.
Our teachers did not just mould us; they provided guidance on how to ask critical questions, solve problems, and to keep learning even when the journey becomes difficult. They have truly given us the tools to fish in the vast ocean of life.
On behalf of the graduating students, I would like to give special thanks to a set of people who made these six years inspiring for us all. Mrs Shotomi, a truly remarkable woman who treated us like her own children. She really cared for us like a mother and didn't hesitate to scold us when we behaved in ways that didn't please her. Mrs Raheem, “ I’ll call you by your name“ she’ll say as a reminder that everyone was their own person. She was always kind to us in a way that was not so loud or obvious. Mr Happiness, a man of quotes. Thank you for teaching us the five great ps “Proper preparation prevents poor performance “, a saying that will help us with our journey ahead.
This speech wouldn't be complete without thanking a person so dear to us. The late Mr Olusegun Osilade, a very wonderful man who was like a father to us. A man who perfected the balance between being strict when he needed to be and also understanding and loving at the same time. His office was like a second home to us, and we truly made a lot of memories there. He inspired us, accepted us and helped us in ways we cannot begin to explain. He was our very own hype man, and, unfortunately, he cannot be here to celebrate with us and watch us become a better version of ourselves. ( May his gentle soul continue to rest in Peace~ amen)
I would like to thank my classmates. These six years would've been unbearable without you. Our diversity played a part in each of our growth, and I will hugely miss the music, laughter, jokes, fights, and even though I hate to say this, I'll miss the noise too (a little bit).
The memories we've gathered over the years are ones I'd never forget. We have faced challenges that tested our strength, moments that pushed us beyond our limits, and obstacles that made us question ourselves. But through every difficult season, we continued to support one another and keep moving forward.
I would also like to thank the school management for providing an enabling environment that encouraged excellence, discipline and personal growth. Your efforts have prepared us for the journey ahead.
I would like to thank our parents and guardians for your sacrifices, love and constant support. Every achievement we celebrate today is a reflection of your dedication and belief in us.
To the graduating students, as we leave this school, we should remember that the future belongs to those who are willing to learn, adapt, and work diligently. There will be obstacles, but every challenge presents an opportunity to grow.
Let us face the future with courage, confidence, and determination.
