Prison overcrowding in Nigeria is not just inefficiency it's profit. Courts delays, bribe for release and endless congestion keep officials earning while inmates rot. Hard truth: justice is for sale and freedom has a price tag.

Corrupt prison officers often prioritize profit over public safety, transforming correctional facilities into criminal enterprises. By smuggling in contraband like drugs, phones, and weapons, they create an illicit economy behind bars. This not only undermines security and rehabilitation but also allows inmates to continue their criminal activities from within, turning prisons from places of punishment into markets for personal gain.
