🚨Mauricio Pochettino insisted that people shouldn’t be surprised by Chelsea’s recent form after their win at Brighton put them on the brink of securing European football for next season.

🗣️‘The performance from the beginning of season has been good,’ said the Chelsea boss. ‘Now only because we are winning games, it looks good. The problem is that people only analyse the result,’ Pochettino added.

The Blues finished 12th last season but have now won four Premier League games in a row for the first time since 2022 and look set to finish sixth. If they avoid defeat at home to Bournemouth on Sunday, they will be guaranteed European football next season.

🗣️‘I’m so happy for the players and they deserve the credit. I feel so proud,’ admitted Pochettino. ‘The three points here allows us to hopefully achieve what we want, which is to play in Europe,’ he added.

🙂: Chelsea expected goals starting from the season has always been high. Which means they are always expected to win their games, but always ended up losing or drawing the game because of licky defense.

Now they have solved their defensive issues and the winnings has started coming through.

Good attack gives you goals but a good Defense will win you the match.

On having players back :

"It's very good news to have many players back on track. Chilly (Chilwell) is really close, but not 100% to be part of the squad. Carney, also. We need to assess if they can be in the squad, or the weekend."

"The players that arrive from injury need time. We need to play, start the games, with players that can cope with the 90 minutes. We have the names now, but they are not 100% to play from the beginning and cope with the demands..."
