In an ambitious stride towards holistic education, CYFI Enugu was invited by the Enugu State Government in Nigeria to commemorate her SMART School in Owo Community of Nkanu East Local Government Area.

As always, our message of Leadership Building as one of the core foundation of any institution was emphasized and encouraged.

The students had the opportunity of learning the “whys” and “hows” of Leadership with practical examples.

We are dedicated to our young populace having innovative approaches towards social change!

The Carrington Youth Fellows Enugu paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ndubueze Mbah at an introductory meeting about its project in the state.

Project Pinnacle centres on providing secondary school students with skills not covered in standardised curriculum including leadership and emotional intelligence.

The program included:
a. Introduction of the Carrington Youth Fellowship
b. Avenues for collaboration
At the invitation of the honourable commissioner, we were invited to the Enugu Smart School, Owo to discuss our mandate as Carrington Youth Fellows as well as enlighten the students on the importance of ICT in the modern classroom.

We thank the Commissioner and the Ministry of Education for their warm reception and active collaboration through the project ex*****on.

To begin The Project Pinnacle, CYFI Enugu began with paying a courtesy visit to the Post Primary School Management Board on the 6th of May, 2024.

Our visit was laced with plans for collaboration and support as Rev. Fr. Paulinus Ike Ogara, the director of the Department of Civic, Culture and Moral Development stood in for the Chairman, Rev. Fr. Dr. Mgbodile, and received us in a warm welcome.

Challenges as well as strategies were discussed as we plan to bring Leadership Education closer to students in Enugu State.
