It was a remarkable outing today as delegates from the Enugu State Scout Council paid a courtesy visit to the President of the Council, Hon. Justice Raymond A. Ozoemena.
In his remarks, the Deputy President, Prof. O. O. Anowor WB, appreciated the President for finding time from his busy schedule to receive the delegation. He also briefed him on the outcome of the Extraordinary Council Meeting and formally presented the newly elected State Scout Commissioner, Prince Uche Madu LT, to the President.
In his response, the newly elected State Scout Commissioner, Prince Uche Madu LT, thanked the President for the fatherly role he has continued to play in the council and assured him of his commitment to take the council to greater heights with his support.
The President, while responding, expressed his pleasure and honour at receiving the delegates. He promised to do his best to facilitate the presentation of the council’s leadership to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Peter Mbah.
Among the distinguished delegates present were Hon. Chief Mrs. Felicia Ikpeama, ASSC Administration / Former Acting SSC; Mrs. Justina Okoronkwo, ASHQC Gender Balance; and Hon. Engr. Dr. Obinna M. Anyaoha ALT, State Executive Commissioner.
The visit was cordial and fruitful, demonstrating the shared commitment of the leadership to strengthen Scouting and advance the ideals of the movement in Enugu State.
