This October, our General Assembly takes a special turn 🎉

Our esteemed patron, Prof. Ada Aghaji, wife of our Founding Father, will be delivering the 255th Inaugural Lecture of the University of Nigeria on Thursday, 29th October, 2026.

In honour of this remarkable occasion, the lecture will take the place of our General Assembly for this month.

Topic: LET THERE BE SIGHT: BUILDING SUSTAINABLE EYE HEALTH SYSTEMS FOR ALL AFRICANS.

With Research, We Save Humanity. 🔬❤️

The Research Directorate hosted a memorable GA as MEDRHUSITES explored the importance of research and how to get started, led by our alumnus and erstwhile Research Director, Dr. Kalu-Okoro Grace.

From research-design trivia to games, an impromptu speech on the growing conversation around spirituality in medicine, and the Patient in Distress Committee’s index patient presentation, it was an engaging session all round.

Special thanks to the Research Directorate ably headed by Chiamaka Nwaubani(The Goddess ✨🦄💞//Creative makeup artist) and her deputy, Victor Igwesi and our wonderful hosts, for a splendid GA. 👏🏽

AUGUST GA WAS ONE TO REMEMBER 🔥✨

It was a day packed with impact, learning and real talk as Aguoha Victor, our speaker for the day, delivered an insightful session on the importance of publications as a healthcare professional and how to get started .🩺

We also had the Chairman of the Patient in Distress Project, Amushi Chimaobi take us through the criteria for selecting patients for the project.

The Trivia Games lit up the room, while our impromptu speech session had MEDRHUSITES sharing their thoughts on recent controversial issues in the country with different interesting perspectives.

All in all, it was a splendid General Assembly. A special shoutout to the Publication Director, Igwe Kenechukwu, and his deputy, Ugwodo Ebubechukwu, for putting together such a wonderful GA. 👏🏽
