Key questions to ask when planning an advocacy event is as important as the advocacy visit itself. Poor planning and inadequate asks could ruine the entire advocacy process, it is best advised that the team planning the advocacy to make proper research on the issues they want to present then choose what their key asks would be.

The results of your advocacy actions starts from the planning and the formation of the team that will participate in the process. Sharing of role is also very important, you already knows the skills and abilities of your team members so choose who will lead the process, who will present your advocacy asks and who will conclude or provide further information if need be. Advocacy is very valuable when we plan it well.

Is advocacy the same as politics? Nigerian law protects NGOs that expose government failures—but the real threat often comes through political pressure, donor fears and regulatory scrutiny, not the courtroom.

It is yet another season to celebrate the anniversary of AGHI. It has been an annual tradition for us to thank God and also celebrate our uniqueness as an organization to mark our achievements and accomplishments for the year and the future.
