Jesus is only honored in my life, when every promise which God has given to him , is being manifested in our life’s.
Here in, we say we honour Jesus with our entire being, let all we do represent Christ, down to:
What we do
How we treat and relate with people
How we talk
What we engage ourselves in
This is just a reminder of the scriptures that says: whether you eat or drink do all to the Glory of God(1cor10:31)!
Also, the scripture says let every part of my body be a living sacrifice to God(Romans12:1)
If we can do as this scripture admonishes, we will find ourselves honoring God, through His son Jesus Christ. Just as the scripture says, he who honors the son, honors The Father.
We can’t say we give honor to God, not man. I want us to take note of the point where the scripture says “He who does not honor the son, does not honor the father who sent me”!
We can see here that, you honor God “through”, that is there is an involvement in something that we give you access to Him.
What do you have that we give you access to Him?
Look around you what do you think that can give you access to him?
It says honor Jesus, these are the words of Jesus, the word of God in the words of Jesus; doing all that he has asked and wants us to do.
I see something here in this scripture, how you treat whatever God has blessed you with matters a lot, because it is through your attitude towards these things, determine if you honor Him.
One can’t say I honor God, but don’t honor my parents, my boss, and others. Your relationship towards humans shows your honor to God. Our day to day life with our surroundings proves our honor to God.
In your endeavor to honor Jesus, then Jesus will be honored in your life. What this implies, is that whatever God has promised us from the words of His son, will be made manifested in our lives. You will not just be a follower of Him, but you will also be an eye witness of His wondrous work in our lives. What promises do you know about God's word, it must surely come to past, and you will declare; Jesus has indeed been honored in my life.
Jesus must be seen in your life, a reflection of Jesus in you!!!!! People want to see you honor Jesus, and also want to see him be honored in your life. It is not that instance when you look at the mirror, you will see a reflection of you, it is the reflection of Jesus that God will want people to see in you, because you ought to mirror Christ.
