So, what exactly is Dear Tamar?
You may have seen our name, but perhaps you're still wondering what Dear Tamar is about and what inspires the work we do.
Dear Tamar is a faith-based, survivor-centered organization committed to supporting survivors of sexual violence while working towards safer, more compassionate communities.

Our work is rooted in faith and guided by grace, while remaining firmly centered on the dignity, wellbeing, and individual needs of survivors.
We believe survivors deserve more than silence.
They deserve to be heard, respected, supported, and treated with dignity.
Through support and guidance, connection to relevant services, awareness, education, advocacy, and community engagement, we seek to create spaces where survivors can find compassion, hope, and support.
But creating safer communities isn't the responsibility of one organization alone.
There is a role for everyone.

Today, we officially launch Dear Tamar. 💜

Dear Tamar is a survivor-centered organization committed to restoring dignity, pursuing justice, and providing compassionate support for survivors of sexual violence.

We believe that survivors deserve to be heard, supported, and treated with dignity—not judged, silenced, or left to navigate their experiences alone.

Our work will focus on creating safer spaces, raising awareness, providing access to appropriate support, amplifying survivors' voices, and contributing to communities where survivors can find compassion and hope.

Today marks the beginning of this journey.

We invite you to follow Dear Tamar, learn with us, support our work, and become part of a community committed to creating meaningful change.
