This is how Christians in Nigeria are being abducted and publicly whipped by Fulani Islamic terrorists.

This is John Aruma Azi, a student of University of Jos and a church Keyboardist. He was being flogged and forced to deny their faith in Christ.

He was kidnapped on his way to Kaduna from Jos.

The world should rise and save Christians in Nigeria. They are speedily losing their right to freedom of worship.

The harassment of owners of flashy cars and motorcycles by some security operatives in Abakaliki has become disturbing and unacceptable.

It is not a crime to drive a good car or ride a decent motorcycle in Nigeria. Yet, some officers reportedly stop young people, seize their phones, and demand access to their banking apps. In some cases, motorcycles are confiscated and never returned.

These actions are unlawful and a clear abuse of power.
Sadly, this trend has led to tragic outcomes in Ebonyi State, including deaths during police pursuits and shootings. Some officers involved in one such case are currently in detention.

HURIDE is closely monitoring these incidents and remains committed to ensuring justice for the victims and accountability for those responsible.

YOU KNOW THE STORY

They went to arrest a r@pe suspect at Onueke around 4:am.
As they conducted a room to room search, one of them saw a young girl alone in a room and swooped on her.
It was our Huride coordinator of Ezza North,Comrade Sunday Awoh Nweke who phone me around 7am, reporting the ugly development.

According to him, while the girl was deep asleep, she noticed someone was trying to force self on her, grabbing her throat . She quickly woke and made to shout but the id!ot threatened her with g^n and she fearfully kept quiet. So, the f00l had his way. He said that while in the act, a woman from the same compound noticed what was happening and alerted other security colleagues of the radical r@pist who then forced him out of the girl and got him arrested.

I quickly asked him to give my phone number to the victim's family. The husband of the victim's elder sister (name withheld) called me. Thereafter, I spoke with Ginika, the victim. She narrated her experience. It was bitter and heartbreaking. I asked if the id!ot used cond0m, she said NO.

Immediately, I called the DPO of Onueke Division and told him I was sending a r**e victim to make an entry. After that, I called OC JWC in Ebonyi Police command to inform for a prompt transfer of the case file to from Onueke. I also called the gender violence unit at the National Obstetric Fistula Centre (NOFIC), Abakaliki to expect the referral of the r@pe victim.

The girl was taken to the Onueke police station, from there to police headquarters. I was monitoring and following up everything on phone because I was in Abuja at that period.
They were supposed to move to the hospital as i arranged, but all of a sudden, the girl stopped picking my calls; the sister's husband stopped picking my calls too.

I returned to Ebonyi the next two days, but shockingly, I started hearing that the suspect later escaped and they are still searching for him everywhere.

I have been like; How?????? 🙅‍♂️🙅‍♀️🙆‍♂️🙆‍♀️

But why did the girl and her family stop picking my calls, all of a sudden?

My name is Sampson Oko Nweke and I urge you to stay tuned.

This evening, I returned from visiting Chief Kenneth Nwiboko in the hospital, where he is currently receiving intensive medical treatment alongside his wife and their nine-year-old son, following the recent attack on his household and their subsequent banishment from the community, Ndebo Ishieke Izzi community, Ebonyi LGA of Ebonyi State, Soujth East Nigeria.

WHAT HE TOLD ME

In the early hours of Saturday, 14th February 2026, an angry mob allegedly acting on the directive of his rival stepbrother, Chief Awoke Nwiboko, stormed his compound. Upon sighting him and his wife, they descended on them and tortured them mercilessly for about four hours.

In the process, they broke both his knees and ankles and shattered his waist. When they were satisfied that he had been rendered crippled and immobile, they brought out his wheelbarrow, placed him inside it, and paraded him alongside his wife and nine-year-old son, who were tied together with bunches of palm fronds.
In that degrading condition, he was wheeled through Ishieke Market and then to Ukwuachi Market. They reportedly took them to his hostels to display them before EBSU students who are his tenants. Thereafter, they issued a 24-hour quit notice to all students occupying his hostels and to tenants in his market shops. They used palm fronds to barricade his hotels, market shops, and compound.

Their phones were seized. His livestock, yam barn, and other valuable household items, including money, were looted.
He further stated that they were later taken to a boundary between Izzi and Ezza and abandoned near a place referred to as the “evil forest” as a mark of banishment. According to him, it took the compassion of a passerby from Ngbo, who found them nearly lifeless, to rush them to the hospital for urgent medical attention.

WHAT WAS HIS CRIME?

It is the turn of their family to produce the new Igwe of Ndebor Ishieke Autonomous Community. He declared interest in the stool, alongside four other contestants, including his stepbrother, Chief Awoke Nwiboko, who was eventually crowned around September 2024.
Dissatisfied with the process that disqualified him and enthroned his stepbrother, whom he considers grossly unqualified he filed a civil suit and copied relevant authorities.
According to him, that was his only “crime”: seeking redress through the court of law.

WHAT HURIDE HAS DONE

The Human Rights Defenders (HURIDE), Ebonyi State, has commenced investigation into the alleged human rights violations arising from this incident, with a view to ensuring justice is served.

The group strongly condemns this disturbing development and calls on the perpetrators to immediately return the victim to his home, make adequate restitution, and tender an unreserved apology.

In collaboration with the Human Rights and Conflict Resolution Centre (HRCRC) and other sister rights organizations within and outside the state, we shall take all lawful and necessary steps to ensure that justice is done.
We shall also write to the Governor and other relevant authorities to draw urgent attention to this grave situation and demand decisive action to forestall further escalation and possible loss of lives.
Ebonyi must forward in love and brotherliness.
Thanks to comrade Odo Godfrey Chikwere and Barr Ugama Steve for the early alarm.

Dr. Sampson Oko Nweke
Chairman, HURIDE Ebonyi State.

Concerning these two teenage Afikpo girls (Favour and Miracle) who were intercepted in Festac Lagos enroute Ghana for alleged s*x trade; the Ebonyi office of the Human Rights Defenders - Huride - contacted the officer in charge of Juvenile, Women and Children unit (JWC), FESTAC Police Division Lagos, who rescued the children from their suspected traffickers. The JWC told HURIDE that favour's father reached out to them and asked that they hand the girls over to his brother living somewhere there in Lagos which they've done. To confirm the police report, HURIDE dialed Hon Ogbonnia Okogwu, the president General of Afikpo Town Welfare Association (ATWA), who confirmed that the children are actually in safe custody of the Lagos State chapter of ATWA. He said that the girls are being expected back in Ebonyi any moment from now.

The good thing is that the girls were successfully rescued and are currently in safe hands. However, HURIDE is closely following the matter is ready to work with other appropriate authorities to check activities of some burst this s*x trade cartel and get the principal actors here for thorough questioning. Jessica's mother (Ugomma), her friend (Blessing Esther), her sister (Mrs Ụwa) and Jessica herself who stays in Ghana must have plenty things to tell the relevent authorities.

A source told HURIDE this morning that in December 2023, this same Ghana-based Jessica of a lady, successfully moved three teenage girls to Ghana for alleged s*x trade. This is just a few of such cases. Who knows how many of Ebonyi children that have been successfully move outside Nigeria for this dirty business.

Meanwhile, HURIDE is passionately calling on the chairman of Afikpo local government, the State Commissioner for women affairs and the state first lady Chief Mrs Uzoamaka Mary-Maudline Ogbonna Nwifuru to please pick interest in the affairs of these rescued girls and as well support the struggle against the recurrent cases of trafficking Ebonyi girl children to Ghana and other countries for s*x trade business.

Comrade Dr Sampson Oko Nweke.
HURIDE Chairman, Ebonyi State.
