🚨 UMUADA AWGU GLOBAL CONDEMNS BRUTAL ASSAULT ON EIGHT-YEAR-OLD GIRL, DEMANDS JUSTICE
We, the women of Umuada Awgu Progressive Association Global (Umuada Awgu Global), are deeply saddened and outraged by reports of the alleged brutal assault on an eight-year-old girl in Enugu State.
No child deserves to suffer such cruelty. The reported incident, in which the young girl was allegedly attacked after being accused of breaking prepaid plates, is heartbreaking and a painful reminder of the need to protect our children from all forms of abuse and violence.
We commend the swift action of the security authorities in apprehending the suspect and call on all relevant agencies to ensure a thorough investigation and speedy prosecution of anyone found responsible.
We also appeal to the Enugu State Government, child protection agencies, healthcare providers, and well-meaning Nigerians to provide the victim with the medical attention, psychological support, and care she urgently needs.
As mothers, daughters, and advocates for justice, we stand firmly with this innocent child and her family. We reaffirm our commitment to defending the rights of women and children and speaking against every form of abuse, oppression, and injustice in our society.
Every child deserves love, care, safety, and protection.
Justice delayed is justice denied. Let justice be done.
