His Royal Highness Alhaji Shehu Hashimi II IBN Umar Al-Amin El-Kanemi Foundation ( HRHASHIUEAEK OR AL-AMIN EL-KANEMI FOUNDATION) was created by her board of trustee to meet the pending demand of the suffering and toil faced by the populace of North-Eastern Nigeria due to the security crisis which has caused not only sociopolitical, but economic and psychological problems in the region. AIMS:
* To
institute basic social amenities which have become even more scarce due to the security crisis.
* To uplift the vulnerable populace affected by the crisis including widows, orphans and disabled.
* To enable the youth who have been robbed of their livelihoods during the crisis period.
* To empower the women of all ages to be self - reliant home makers as well as a source of financial support to their families.
* To renovate previously existing structures by whose destruction led to the depreciation of the socioeconomic statue of the populace. OBJECTIVES :
* To provide to the affected populace portable water to allay any water related health hazards. This will be done via cost effective means which will help save funds which could be channeled for further expansion of project work.
* To provide alternate means of power supply which are durable and green house friendly.
* To train widows affected by the crisis in basic domestic and vocational skill acquisition.This would help them be financially buoyant and psychological stable.
* To bring a sense of home to the orphans affected by the hardship of the security crisis in the North-Eastern geopolitical zone of Nigeria.This will be brought into the play by projects related to education and psychological management of such children.
* To assist the disabled out by sponsoring medical treatment such as artificial limb replacement among others.
* To assist the disabled with means of livelihood.This would bring them out of the psychological trauma of being disabled as a result of socio-economic upliftment.
* To empower youth who have been rendered unemployed by the crisis.This will be achieved by setting projects in place aimed at vocational skill acquisition and basic IT training among others.
* To empower women,young and old to attain knowledge on child care, family health and environmental hygiene by carrying out enlightenment campaigns and creating enlightenment camps.
* To ensure women are not only home makers but also contribute to the bread winning role in the family.This will be done by setting projects which encourage small scale entrepreneurship and domestic skill acquisition centers.
*To renovate properties lost to the security crisis in North-East region of Nigeria.This will include a barrage of structures comprising of housing, shopping malls, schools and hospitals among other structures which have been destroyed or adversely affected by the crisis.
