NEYIF Donates Office Equipment to Yobe State Ministry of Justice
NEYIF team lead by the Executive Director, Comrade Dauda Muhammad Gombe paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Justice, Barr. Saleh Samanja alongside members of the Ministry’s management team to donate office equipments as part of its effort to support the ministry.
During the meeting, the Executive Director briefed the Commissioner and his team on the activities and humanitarian interventions being implemented by NEYIF, particularly in the area of child protection programs supported by UNICEF.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the formal handover of office items donated by UNICEF through NEYIF under the previous Child Protection Project implemented in partnership with the Ministry.
In his remarks, the Executive Director expressed sincere appreciation to the Ministry for its continuous collaboration, support, and commitment toward promoting child protection and access to justice for vulnerable children across the Northeast.
The Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Justice commended NEYIF for its outstanding humanitarian services and contributions toward improving the welfare of vulnerable populations in the Northeast region. He particularly appreciated the organization’s efforts in supporting children in conflict with the law, emphasizing that such interventions are both timely and impactful.
“I am pleased that your activities also focus on children in conflict with the law. This is an area that touches the hearts of many of us. Based on the position taken by NGOs, including your organization, these children should not be viewed as criminals, but rather as victims who deserve protection, care, guidance, and support.”
The Commissioner further appreciated NEYIF for its continued support to the Ministry and acknowledged the donation of the following office items:
- Three executive tables
- Three executive chairs
- Six visitors’ chairs
- Two metal cabinets
- One water dispenser
Lastly, the Commissioner offered prayers for the continued growth and success of NEYIF, asking Almighty Allah to grant the organization greater strength, financial capacity, moral support, and more opportunities to implement impactful projects that will continue to benefit vulnerable communities.
