Congratulations to the Coordinator of Youth Torch Initiative (YoTI) on emerging as one of the members of the West African Advisory Council of World Citizen Peace. This recognition honors your passion for community development and your advocacy for rights, and it positions YoTI to amplify peace from the grassroots to the regional stage. With your leadership, we can model how young people nurture peace that includes displaced persons, migrants, and host communities alike.
Let us promote peaceful coexistence through the five Peace Actions of World Citizen Peace in our communities.
1. Seek peace within yourself: Heal trauma, practice no stigma or discrimination, and extend that compassion to both bio and non-bio children.
2. Reach out in service: Create shared projects where displaced persons and hosts work side by side, building trust through action.
3. Protect the environment: A clean market, safe water, and restored land reduce conflict over scarce resources and give every family dignity.
4. Respect diversity: Celebrate languages, faiths, and cultures as strengths that make our communities whole.
5. Be a responsible citizen: Uphold rights, promote gender mainstreaming, and hold space for dialogue so every voice is heard.
When we live these actions, we turn 'Imagine into reality: all the people, sharing all the world, living life in peace.
