1.0 INTRODUCTION
Antan’s Foundation for Children and Youths Rescue in Africa (AFCYRA) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization devoted to skills acquisition, social development, poverty eradication and entrepreneurial training with particular interest in development projects, capacity building, jobs/wealth creation and children/youth empowerment etc.
1.1 AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The aims and
objectives of the Foundation are:
a) To promote the welfare of children and to carter for the youths. b) To improve awareness and counseling on child education. c) To bring hope, peace and joy to children, orphans, restive youths and families. d) To advocate for the well-being of children and youth and the protection of their rights. e) To protect and preserve the rights of children and youths, deal with domestic violence and gender issues. f) To enhance the development of youth education and assist the less privilege in the area of education. g) To build the minds of young persons and sensitize them for a better society. h) To propagate career awareness and education among children youths. i) To carter for the social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual challenges of the youth. j) To preserve a healthy and sustainable environment via enlightenment programmes.
1.2 THE PURPOSE OF AFCYRA FOUNDATION
It is true that the Antan’s Foundation is a registered non-governmental organization focusing on social development and the purpose is to provide Grass root assistance for youth empowerment and community development and secondly to promote:
• Skills acquisition (free driving & computer training schools)
• The welfare of children and carter for the youths
• Entrepreneurial training
• Poverty eradication
• Interest free loan that would assist children and youth and the less privileged and the poor in the society.
• Development projects (Water Supply)
• Vocational education
• Primary education
• To carry out marital and pre-marital counseling to couples and singles and lastly
• To increase capacity building and advocacy.
