Silence is not always peace in marriage.
Many women keep quiet, hoping things will change on their own, but what you don’t address doesn’t disappear. It piles up, little by little, until it becomes too heavy to carry.
Sometimes, your husband may not even realize what he’s doing. Sometimes, he may even expect you to speak up. Your silence tells him you're okay with whatever he is doing. Don't get tired of expressing your displeasure.

Anything you cannot condone, do not ignore.
Anything you cannot tolerate, do not give room.
Speaking up is not disrespect. It is clarity. It is wisdom. It is how healthy marriages grow.

Dear woman, find your voice. In your tears or in your fears, find the strength to say it.

If you need something from your friend, it is wrong to go through her husband instead of her. That is not wisdom, it is betrayal.

Respect the bond you claim to have. True friendship is built on openness, not secrecy.

When you step behind a friend to reach her husband, you cross a line that should never be crossed.

Unfortunately this behavior is found even among sisters in church.

Let us choose honesty, respect, and godly character. A real sister protects another woman’s home, not quietly pull it apart.

A woman who earns her own money builds more than an income, she builds confidence. She learns that she can survive hard seasons, support her dreams, and create opportunities where none existed before. The journey may be slow, and some days may feel discouraging, but every step forward matters. Because financial empowerment isn’t magic, it’s about being determined enough to keep going until you achieve your financial goals.

I tell the younger ladies...

BE A WORK IN PROGRESS BEFORE "I DO".

It's important to envisage where you'll love to be in the next five years and start taking steps to actualize your goals. Set financial and career goals for yourself and lay the foundation you'll build on in marriage. Let your husband meet you already pursuing your financial goals, it will be difficult for him to stop you in marriage.

“I don’t chase money. I chase purpose and money follows.” — Folorunso Alakija

This statement reframes wealth not as something to be hunted, but as something earned through impact. The message is powerful: financial empowerment begins with purpose.

Chasing purpose means identifying your skills, values, and the problems you are uniquely positioned to solve. When women build businesses, careers, or initiatives rooted in purpose, whether in fashion, agriculture, technology, education, or community development they create real value. And value, when is consistently delivered, attracts income, investment, and growth.

First female Chancellor of a public university in Africa when appointed to Osun State University in 2016.
