Strong communication is the foundation of effective systems, informed decision-making, and sustainable impact.

Through the Renewed Women Voice and Leadership (RWVL) Project, Neighbourhood Care-Well Foundation convened staff for a Communication Policy Review and Systems Strengthening session to enhance internal communication, improve coordination, and reinforce systems that support effective programme implementation.

The session provided an opportunity to assess existing communication practices, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen institutional processes that promote collaboration, accountability, and organizational effectiveness. By investing in staff capacity and stronger internal systems, we are enhancing our ability to deliver impactful programmes that respond to the needs of women, girls, and vulnerable communities.

Every stronger system creates greater impact. Follow our page to stay updated on how we're building resilient institutions and transforming lives across our communities.

Learning in the classroom is important, but learning in the community creates lasting impact.

As part of their practicum placement at Neighbourhood Care-Well Foundation (NCF), Public Health students from the University of Calabar took an active role in raising awareness on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) within the community.

Through community engagement and public sensitization, the students translated classroom knowledge into meaningful action promoting awareness, challenging harmful norms, and encouraging collective responsibility in preventing GBV.

At NCF, we remain committed to nurturing future professionals by providing practical experiences that strengthen their skills while contributing to healthier and safer communities.

Together, we are building a generation of advocates for change.

Did You Know?

Not every form of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) leaves visible injuries.

Emotional abuse, intimidation, financial control, online harassment, and other harmful behaviors can have deep and lasting effects on individuals, families, and communities.

Recognizing these forms of violence is the first step toward prevention, early intervention, and creating safer spaces where everyone can live with dignity and respect.

Which form of GBV do you think people overlook the most?
Share your thoughts in the comments.

Together, we can promote respect, equality, and dignity for all.

MYTHS vs FACTS: Understanding Gender-Based Violence

Many harmful beliefs about Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevent survivors from seeking help and discourage communities from taking action.

This week, we're separating myths from facts to promote awareness, challenge misconceptions, and encourage meaningful conversations that help build safer communities for everyone.

Swipe through the slides and let us know in the comments:
Which myth have you heard before, and what fact surprised you the most?

Every conversation matters. Together, we can break the silence, challenge harmful beliefs, and create communities where everyone can live free from violence.
