Happy International Women's Day.

It's another day to remember and celebrate all the women in our lives. They are the bedrock of development, the courage, strength and hope we need to move on.

Let's raise our voices, not only today but every other day to advocate for opportunities, positions for and inclusion of women, so they can thrive, be strong and gain capacity in giving more support in building a future we will all be proud of.

March 1 every year is Zero Discrimination Day. It is observed to promote inclusion, equality and peace, as well as raise awareness about the impact of discrimination worldwide.
Everyone, irrespective of race, age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, ability, HIV status, etc., deserves to be treated equally and fairly.

The Professor Charles Effiong Foundation joined the State Ministry of Women Affairs and other Gender-Based Violence Actors in Cross River State on a road show to round-up the 2023 16 Days of Activism for Violence Against Women and Girls.

Sensitisation messages by mouth and print media were sent out to spectators on the major streets of Calabar on the various types of abuse, the laws for protecting women and girls from abuse and where to file complaints in the event of an abuse.
