From Training to Enterprise: Celebrating Benedicta Hogan

At Women Directorate Initiative (WODI), we believe that when women are equipped with the right knowledge, skills, and opportunities, they can transform their lives and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Today, we celebrate Benedicta Hogan, one of our inspiring trainees and a beneficiary of the ActionAid Nigeria Women’s Voice and Leadership (WVL) Project. Through the skills and support she received, Benedicta has taken a bold step toward entrepreneurship, turning her knowledge into a tangible product — Benniez Sparkle Moisturising Hand Wash/Body Wash, proudly produced and branded under her own personal label.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that capacity building can become a pathway to economic independence. From learning new skills to developing her own product and brand, Benedicta is demonstrating what is possible when women are given the opportunity to learn, create, and lead.

👏 Congratulations, Benedicta! Your determination and entrepreneurial spirit are truly inspiring.

At WODI, we remain committed to supporting women and girls to build sustainable livelihoods, strengthen their voices, and take their rightful place in economic and community development.

Her skill. Her enterprise. Her voice. Her future. 💪🏽✨

Individual and group counseling sessions.

Practical guidance on recognizing the warning signs of preeclampsia and the importance of timely antenatal care.

At WODI, we remain committed to improving the health and well-being of women and communities through education, advocacy, and access to quality healthcare services. We appreciate all our partners, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and participants whose contributions made this outreach a success.

Together, we can promote safer pregnancies, healthier mothers, and healthier babies.

Today, the Women Directorate Initiative (WODI) joined the global community to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026.

In line with this year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” WODI commemorated the day by visiting aged and vulnerable women in our community, providing support and essential items as a way of appreciating their lifelong contributions to society.
These women-our mothers and grandmothers-have played vital roles in building our families and communities. Through this outreach which was led by our Board Chairman, Dr. Lizzy Offiong, we reminded them that they are valued, remembered, and not alone.

At WODI, we believe that empowering women must include women of all ages, especially those who are often forgotten. When we give support, dignity, and care to women, our communities grow stronger.

Happy International Women’s Day!
