PAD A GIRL CHILD
In May 2024, the Regina Ateb Foundation embarked on one of its annual flagship projects, "Pad A Girl Child"—a transformative initiative aimed at empowering female teenagers.
Aligned with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education), the program goes beyond providing sanitary pads. It serves as a platform to educate young girls on menstrual hygiene, sexual and reproductive health, and sustainable hygiene practices, fostering confidence and better health outcomes.
This year, we visited the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria Secondary School, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria, where our dedicated facilitators engaged the students in insightful sessions on menstrual health and hygiene best practices. The students' excitement and interactive participation were truly heartwarming.
Special thanks to our partners and volunteers for making this impactful project possible. This is just one of many strides we’re taking towards improving the well-being of the girl child. Together, we’re building healthier, more empowered communities!
