Commemorating World Menstrual Menstrual Hygiene Day

University of Calabar Association for AIDS and Reproductive Health Program (UCAARHP) an affiliate of Nigeria Youth Aid Programme (NYAP) in collaboration with partners, commemorated World Menstrual Hygiene Day at the Female Hostel, Hall Eight, University of Calabar, Through it's Menstrual Health Education Management awareness campaign.

The event kicked off with an awareness rally from the main gate to the hostel, creating visibility and sparking conversations around menstrual health. This was followed by engaging sessions on menstrual hygiene, including practical demonstrations on proper pad usage.

To support participants, sanitary pads, towels, shaving sticks, earbuds, and other hygiene materials were distributed to over 200 attendees—both female and male promoting inclusivity and shared responsibility.

Together, we amplify the message: “Together for a Period-Friendly World.” 🌍🩸
