Starting a business is like buying a car, you need to do some research before taking the plunge.

Areas you need to carry out your research before going into the business

First, find out if there is demand for your product or service.

KAIROS AND CHRONOS

All exams are important but there are certain exams like WACE, JAMB, final year exam, that can define the next season of your life. Any wise person won’t say you are studying too much in such exam period because it’s worth all seriousness.

CHRONOS means the passage or the sequential moment of time. KAIROS means a defined moment or an opportune time. You will always have CHRONOS to yourself but kairos moments are not much in a lifetime.

This Kairos moment are what determines the next phase of your life. It’s possible in a whole lifetime, one might not have up to 10 of this kind of moments. That is why it is very important to know how to maximize this kairos seasons.

You prepare for KAIROS by maximizing CHRONOS, that means everyday is the raw material for preparing for kairos moment. You don’t waste everyday and get the best of your kairos moment/day.

David did not prepare for the palace in the palace. He was in the bush preparing. Read your Bible to see how God announced him. What if he wasn’t prepared? I am sure he was not expecting God to announce him in the manner He did. But thank God David was prepared.

God can call you to be an apostle to the nations but your first assignment might be ushering. Ask Philp what is the connection between evangelism and welfare. In any capacity you find yourself, be faithful and diligent.

There is no such thing as inferior or superior moment of preparation, take every little opportunity seriously because CHRONOS is the unit of KAIROS.

….but time and chance happeneth to them all. (Ecc 9:11)

WHAT TO DO WHEN GOD DOESN'T MAKE SENSE: Turning pain into profit

Are you in a season in your life when nothing is making sense? Are there so many prophecies around your life, pointing to greatness, but you are no where like it?

You may be passing through seasons of pain, real bitter experiences although anointed and passionate for God.

Have you ever wondered why the anointing is made up of 5 components and one of it is MYRRH? The word is translated as "mara" which means bitter, that there is a pain requirement for greatness, as it differs from person to person. You need to be relaxed in the fact that your life is a story that God is telling from eternity and he is aware of everything you are going through.

"Innocent" men cannot be great. Greatness is a function of sacrifice, pain and blood. There are gates that only sacrifice can open up for you. It will never respond to you even if your father is a pastor, there has to be a testimony in your hands. Even Christ learnt obedience through the things he suffered.

Here is what to do when you are passing through seasons of bitterness, pains or affliction

1. Tenacity: Learn how to out last the devil.

Sometimes, when the devil throws tantrums at believers, he does this with the aim of frustrating them out of the faith. Guess what? He's usually successful, because most believers give up too easily, we give up too soon.

Put up a fight, don't just back down. You're a son of God, God isn't known for backing down. What is "I am tired of life"? No sir, don't be tired. That's the devil's plan, he wins when you give up. Apostle Arome Osayi famously opined "In spiritual warfare, you must learn how to out last the devil". The devil will soon be tired and leave when all is said and done.

2. Prayer: Rebuke the devil

Prayer changes seasons, prayer changes things. Never get tired of praying. "Apostle, I have prayed", keep praying. You might be drinking garri, please pray. There might be no school fees, continue praying. You might be crying, but don't stop praying. Prayer prepares the ground for your intervention.

Pain is the handiwork of the devil, so even in process, give him no rest. Ensure you rebuke the devil from your life. You have to order him to take his hands off your life, business and finance etc. Don't just say well it's process,pain no sir. REBUKE THE DEVIL

3. Refuse the current reality: Your reality is the word of God.

Never you judge your life by your current realities. You might be temporarily unable to dispense cash but you are not poor. Don't write yourself off. That Failure in school doesn't define your life. The break-up doesn't define your life, neither does the marriage that failed.

The true definition of your life is found in the word of God. You might be physically sick but God's word says you're healed. I've seen people give up on life because of a temporal unpleasant situation. Be optimistic and full of faith. The word of God is more real than your current condition.

4. REST: Be still and know that I am God.

When God seems to not make sense, he's about making the most sense. But often times we try to help him, we go out of the way to boycott the process only to heap for ourselves more pain. Trust the Lord and trust the process. Man of God, I know the church is about closing down, no house rent, two members, no nothing, but please rest.

God who called you will come through for you. You are too valuable in God's regiment that he can't afford to loose you. You're the only one who's scared, God isn't. You might be feeling you've wasted 10, 20 years but God can give you speed that in 1 year you can recover 15 years. Oga, commit yourself into the hand of the Lord and REST, after all he is the one who controls the earth, how will he not as able to order your steps?

You must also b careful not to allow bitterness enter your heart. Pain is deceptive, it can make you hate everyone, you will have to watch your heart in order not to allow any root of bitterness creep into your heart and trouble you.

My final charge unto you is this
Hebrews 4:15
[15]For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without murmuring.

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

One of the most astonishing miracles I've seen in recent times is this...

How a song that was made in 2014 by Jamaican gospel artist, Jermain Edwards titled "Beautiful Day." A song that many of us did not even know about.

And sung by a school boy named Rushawn Ewears at the Top Hills Primary School in St. Elizabeth in 2017...

His teacher was impressed with how he sang the song, and brought out a phone and recorded him.

In 2017! Yeah, 2017!

Six years later, this kid... this video, that was made six years ago became a global sensation.

After remixes from The Kiffness, Trinix and several others garnered millions of views on cyberspace.

And Sony Music reached out to them - the kid and the original owner of the song.

Now Rushawn and Jermain have signed a mouth-watering deal with Sony Music UK licence agreement.

The terms of the agreement is that all of the masters belong to Rushawn and Jermain.

Not just that, a playground will be built for Top Hills Primary School, St. Elizabeth, and named after Rushawn.

Rushawn and Jermain are currently in the studio working on their first track together, and their video is also in the works.

Rushawn dream is to be a DJ someday.

Miracles don't get more interesting than this.

And I hope the victories of these two guys inspire you to keep going.

A song made in 2014. Sung by this kid in 2017. Went viral 6 years after. A deal signed with Sony Music.

It might look like the world is not noticing your efforts.

It might look like the world has forgotten about you.

It might look like that business is not yielding enough profits as you expected.

You worked so hard on that project, yet there was nothing to show for it in return.

You've put in your best in that establishment, yet no promotion has come your way.

It may seem like you are just moving around in circles.

You put in your best into that stuff, but it seemed your best was not even appreciated. It seemed no one cared.

Keep grinding.

Keep doing it.

The world has not forgotten you.

Life is in turns, and your own turn will certainly come.

Your own time will come soon.

In ancient Greece, women were forbidden to study medicine. Born in 300 BC, Agngodice cut her hair and entered Alexandria medical school dressed as a man. While walking the streets of Athens after completing her medical education, she heard the cries of a woman in labour. However, the woman did not want Agnodice to touch her although she was in severe pain, because she thought Agnodice was a man. Agnodice proved that she was a woman by removing her clothes without anyone seeing and helped the woman deliver her baby.

The story would soon spread among the women and all the women who were sick began to go to Agnodice. The male doctors grew envious and accused Agnodice, whom they thought was male, of seducing female patients. At her trial, Agnodice, stood before the court and proved that she was a woman but this time, she was sentenced to death for studying medicine and practicing medicine as a woman.

Women revolted at the sentence, especially the wives of the judges who had given the death penalty. Some said that if Agnodice was killed, they would go to their deaths with her. Unable to withstand the pressures of their wives and other women, the judges lifted Agnodice's sentence, and from then on, women were allowed to practice medicine, provided they only looked after women.

Thus, Agnodice made her mark in history as the first female doctor and gynecologist.

A plaque depicting Agnodice at work was excavated at Ostia, Italy and is now on display at the British Museum.

I lived with my uncle for 10years. He got married while I was still living with him. He treated me very well. I thought when the wife arise, she will maltreat me. She didn't!

So, two or three years ago, I said to my husband, ''all the bourvita and all the soap my uncle bought while I was in secondary school, I want to make sure he doesn't finish eating, I want to make sure he doesn't finish drinking, I want to make sure he doesn't recover. So, let's build him a house".

We took some money, we built him a house. And then, I said to my husband, "if this man and his wife own a house, they shouldn't be trekking as a landlord. So, let's get him a car".

Then, we bought him a car and I said to the wife, "God saved you that you didn't treat me badly".

Every Modecai hearing me today, treat your Esther's very well, because you don't know what your Esther can become.

Time sometimes hides greatness. That we are sitting on the same seat in church, does not matter. The present first lady of Ondo State, we were sweeping together in our church. She was a member. I did not know one day, she will become the first lady. Time hides greatness!

God saved me that I did not treat her badly as a pastor's wife.

Keep building, one day, it will show. Is just that you must start on time because the journey is far...
