Easter is a reminder that hope is never lost, that second chances are possible, and that every story can be rewritten.

For six years, that belief has driven our work and our impact.

This week, we turn 6, and we invite you to be part of this milestone.

The countdown is on, 7 days until we celebrate 6 years of Her Voice Foundation.

Girls are not meant to be mothers. But for those who already are, their future must not end there.

Through the Panel on Adolescent Mothers, young mothers will share their stories, shape policy, and help drive a 2-year action plan for support.

Her Voice Foundation, alongside Global Fund for Children partners, is leading this effort.

Day 1 of the Adolescent Girls Summit 2026!

We kicked off AGS 2026 with an inspiring first day — and for the very first time, adolescent mothers from Her Voice Foundation joined the session represented by Glorita, bringing their powerful voices, experiences, and leadership into the space.

Here are some highlights from Day 1:

A powerful opening ceremony featuring cultural performances and remarks from Côte d’Ivoire’s Ministry of Women, Family and Children, the Ministry of Education, the Mayor of Yamoussoukro, the Head of UNICEF Côte d’Ivoire, and GFC co-CEO .

A basic sign language session to help ensure everyone feels included and represented.

Lots of dancing and joyful celebration!

In-depth sessions on Intersectionality and Inclusion and Building Sustainable Change with Communities.

A huge thank you to the players of for making the Adolescent Girls Summit possible. Your support helps us continue to facilitate this girl- and youth-led movement towards a more gender-equal world.

This month at Her Voice Foundation, we witnessed the power of women’s giving in action.

That same spirit came alive at IGNITE Forward convening 2026, where we opened up space for meaningful dialogue on accelerating progress for girls’ education.

As we close out Women’s Month, we are reminded that:

📌Women’s giving is legacy.
📝 Women’s giving deserves to be recognised and celebrated.
📌Creating spaces and opportunities for women accelerates progress for entire communities.

15 survivors of money marriage received training in hairdressing and catering, plus startup kits to help them begin rebuilding their lives.

Through the Hope Weavers Project, they gained practical skills, hands-on guidance, and basic business training to support self-employment. 10 women trained in hairdressing and 5 in catering, and each left with a startup kit to use their new skills right away.

We are grateful to the Innocent Chukwuma Social Impact Fellowship, the fellows who selected this as their grant project, Lagos Business School, and the Lagos Business School Sustainability Centre for making this possible.

As we reflect on women’s giving this International Women’s Month, we are reminded that “the work we do today is built on the legacy of women who created pathways where none existed.” We are not starting from scratch, we are continuing a legacy of courage, leadership, and possibility.

We are delighted to welcome grant winners from under the Fellowship to Becheve Community to learn about the Money Woman tradition and to formally close out a high-impactproject supporting 15 survivors of money marriage.

Led by our Second Chance Education Officer, Ilu Jane, the initiative reflects a strong partnership and a shared commitment to restoring dignity and creating sustainable opportunities for survivors.

Although the practice has been abolished, many survivors continue to live with its long-term effects. As winners of the 2025 ICEF Grant Prize, the students selected a project focused on supporting survivors of money marriage, joining Her Voice Foundation and other partners in strengthening efforts to advance their economic empowerment through business skills training, startup kits, and life skills development.

Her Voice Foundation, with support from IGNITE and in the company of , paid a valuable learning visit to the (VDI) in Abuja. The visit provided practical insights on inclusive programming and inclusive budgeting, especially how to intentionally make programs more accessible and responsive to persons with disabilities.

It was an eye-opening experience that strengthened our commitment to building programs that truly leave no one behind.
