BGF RECEIVES IYC SPOKESMAN-ELECT DURING COURTESY VISIT

The leadership of the Bonny Graduates’ Forum (BGF), led by its President, Mr. Pepple Idaerefagha Jude, Friday 17th July 2026, received the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Spokesman-Elect, Comrade Victor Ibaningo, during a courtesy visit.

During the visit, Comrade Ibaningo formally presented his Certificate of Return to the leadership of the Forum in appreciation of the encouragement and support he received throughout the electoral process. He also reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining a strong relationship with the Bonny Graduates’ Forum and acknowledged the important role BGF continues to play in advancing the interests of Bonny graduates and the wider community.

The Forum congratulated Comrade Ibaningo on his emergence and wished him a successful tenure marked by responsible leadership, constructive engagement, and meaningful service to the Ijaw nation.

BGF looks forward to continued collaboration with the Ijaw Youth Council in promoting youth development, community progress, and initiatives that benefit the good people of Bonny and the Niger Delta.

Bonny Graduates Forum Pays Courtesy Visit to BIRC Leadership

The Bonny Graduates Forum (BGF), led by President Mr. Pepple Idaerefagha Jude, paid a courtesy visit to the leadership of the Bonny Integrated Recruitment Centre (BIRC) following the inauguration of its new leadership team.

The Forum congratulated the Chairman Hon. Jumbo Julius Adawari and members of the committee, appreciated them for granting audience, and commended the ongoing reforms and restructuring efforts within BIRC.

During the engagement, BGF emphasized the need for stronger collaboration in addressing graduate employment within Bonny Kingdom. While acknowledging BIRC’s contributions over the years in creating opportunities for semi-skilled and unskilled workers, the Forum stressed the importance of ensuring that graduate employment opportunities are also properly channeled and monitored through structured engagement with BGF.

The BIRC Chairman appreciated the visit and assured the Forum of the committee’s commitment toward pursuing more graduate employment opportunities.

The meeting ended on a positive note with renewed commitment toward collaboration, transparency, and opportunities for Bonny graduates.

The Bonny Graduates Forum extends warm congratulations to Chairman Jumbo Julius Adawari and the newly inaugurated leadership team of the Bonny Integrated Recruitment Centre (BIRC).

Bonny Graduates Forum (BGF) Congratulates NLNG New Managing Director

The Bonny Graduates Forum (BGF) congratulates Mr. Adeleye Falade on assuming office as Managing Director and CEO of NLNG. We welcome your leadership and nearly three decades of global experience in the LNG and petroleum sector.

As a peaceful and supportive community, we highlights critical issues requiring immediate attention:

1. Completion of the Shell Gates to Bonny Beach road, with proper drainage included to protect residents from flooding and safeguard the community.

2. Improved working conditions for contractors and subcontractors. Many Bonny residents engaged in these projects face poor labor standards. Management-level standards must drip down to all workers, ensuring fairness and equity.

3. Transparent, merit-based recruitment processes for local graduates. Applicants have consistently reported unfair practices and inconsistencies in hiring processes.

4. Recognition of Bonny’s peaceful cooperation with NLNG. The community expects fair treatment, equitable opportunities, and proactive engagement from the company.

BGF looks forward to constructive action under your leadership, ensuring that Bonny residents and graduates benefit fairly from NLNG operations and that the community’s long-standing cooperation is respected.

The numbers are stark.

But in Bonny Kingdom, we refuse to be a statistic.
Through the Bonny Graduates Forum, we are tackling graduate unemployment head-on, building a movement in education, community impact, skills development, employability, and socio-economic empowerment for every graduate of Bonny origin.

Beginning with leadership training to community partnership drives, we are equipping our graduates not just to survive but to lead, build, and transform Bonny Kingdom from within.

This is BGF.

Update on BGF Congress Meeting Held on 15th February 2026.

The Bonny Graduates Forum Congress convened on Sunday, 15th February 2026. The meeting opened with prayer at 4:30 pm and the agenda was duly adopted. Members present introduced themselves, after which the President appreciated everyone for their commitment and encouraged constructive engagement as the Forum continues to advance its collective goals.

The minutes of the previous Congress were read and adopted.

Deliberations centered on employment advocacy, institutional strengthening, and strategic planning. Updates were received from relevant committees, with clear directives issued to address pending matters before the next Congress. A new committee was constituted to drive a key structural initiative critical to the long-term stability of the Forum.

Members also resolved to intensify engagement with appropriate stakeholders on graduate opportunities and community concerns. Additional discussions focused on youth sensitization and internal administrative matters.

The meeting ended with renewed unity and focus. The Bonny Graduates’ Forum remains committed to purposeful leadership, accountability, and sustained advocacy for the advancement of its members and the broader Bonny community.
