YALI Network Kebbi Hosts 2025 End-of-Year Face-to-Face Engagement, Calls for Focus on Personal Growth
YALI Network Kebbi successfully hosted its 2025 End-of-Year Face-to-Face engagement, with a strong call for youth to focus on personal growth.
The theme of the event, “Looking Back, Moving Forward: Youth Reflection on Personal Growth,” provided a platform for young people to reflect on their successes and challenges in 2025, while preparing themselves for greater achievements in 2026.
In his opening remarks, the Coordinator Amir Umar Faruk stated that the essence of selecting the topic and inviting individuals who serve as role models was to encourage participants to develop sound plans for the period leading up to 2026.
The Chairman of the Kebbi State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Engr. Ahmad Rufai Khalipha, who served as a guest lecturer, challenged the youth to understand that there is no success without sacrifice.
The second lecturer, Dr. Hajara Senchi of Abdullahi Fodio University, emphasized that personal growth cannot be achieved in isolation, encouraging young people to embrace networking and collaboration.
Goodwill messages were delivered by Barrister Najib Waziri Tambuwal, Chairman of the Abuja Young Lawyers Forum, and Muhammad Majo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Student Matters.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to the growth and success of YALI Network Kebbi in 2025, the leadership of the hub presented awards to several individuals.
Awardees included the Special Adviser to the Minister of Budget, Bashar Aliyu Buhari; the Special Adviser to the Kebbi State Governor on SDGs, Muhammad Mubarak; NYCN Chairman Engr. Ahmad Rufai Khalipha; former coordinators Nafiu Gulumbe and Auwal Warrah; as well as the current coordinator, Amir Umar Faruk.
