KEBBI STATE YOUTHS LAUD KEBBI GOVERNOR'S WIFE FOR HER UNWAVERING SUPPORT TOWARDS CANCER AWARENESS

The Kebbi Youth Development Association (KYDA) has commended the Kebbi Governor's wife, Her Excellency, Haj Dr. Nafisa Nasir Idris, for her unwavering support towards cancer awareness activities in the state. The association, under the leadership of its founder and state chairman, Comr. Mubashir Muhammed, expressed its gratitude to the Governor's wife for sponsoring a free cancer screening exercise at the Kebbi Medical Center, Kalgo.

The KYDA, in a statement, noted that the Governor's wife, through her NANAS Foundation, has been at the forefront of promoting cancer awareness and providing support to those affected by the disease. The association pledged its commitment to supporting the NANAS Foundation's efforts in empowering women and promoting healthcare in the state.

The association's members, led by Comr. Mubashir Muhammed, participated in a walk against cancer, which started from the Kebbi State Government House and ended at AP2 Roundabout, Birnin Kebbi. The walk aimed to promote awareness on cancer prevention and steps to tackle the high risk of the disease.

The Governor's wife, Dr. Nafisa Nasir Idris, thanked everyone for their support, including the healthcare sectors in the state and beyond. She emphasized that awareness is the first step towards breast cancer prevention and urged the public to take advantage of the free screening exercise.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including the wives of the State Deputy Governor, commissioners, local government chairmen, traditional leaders, healthcare agencies, youth groups, NGOs, and students.

KEBBI YOUTH DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION IN COLLABORATION WITH NANAS FOUNDATION CASH GRANT EMPOWERMENT FOR YOUTHS IN AREWA LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The Kebbi Youth Development Association (KYDA) in collaboration with the Nafisa Nasir Charity Development Foundation (NANAS) successfully organized a cash grant empowerment program for youths in Kangiwa, Arewa Local Government. The program aimed to provide financial support to 300 youths, enabling them to start or expand their small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and promote self-reliance.

The State Chairman of KYDA, Comr. Mubashir Muhammed, welcomed participants and described the program as a testament to the organization's commitment to youth empowerment. He advised youths to utilize the grant wisely, stay away from illicit activities, and pursue education to enhance their skills.

The Representative of the Honorable Chairman of Arewa Local Government Hon. Sani Aliyu Tella, praised the initiative and encouraged youths to use the grant productively, he also expressed gratitude to Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) the Executive Governor of Kebbi State and his wife Haj Dr. Nafisa Nasir Idris for supporting youths towards the present administration.

Representative of Hon. Nuraddeen Usman Kangiwa (Sarkin Yamma Kabi), House of Assembly member Arewa Local Government, and Hon. Muhammadu Hamidu “Jarkuka”Commissioner ministry for Humanitarian affairs and employment commended the organizers for the initiative.

Alh. Yusuf Sulaiman Zango (Mai Arewa Kangiwa) expressed gratitude to the wife of the Kebbi State Governor, Her Excellency Haj. Dr. Nafisa Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for hosting the program in Kangiwa. He advised youths to be responsible citizens and make the most of the opportunity.

Program Activities: Cash Grant Distribution for youths to support their entrepreneurial endeavors 30,000 each to 300 Youths, comedy, music performances, and other engaging activities.

KEBBI GOVERNOR’S WIFE DELEGATES ATTEND TEDxKANGIWA 2025 EVENT IN KATSINA.

As part of efforts to boost innovation, creativity, and leadership qualities among our youths, Her Excellency, Dr. Nafisa Nasir Idris, wife of the Kebbi State Governor, has sponsored a team of youths to attend the TEDxKangiwa 2025 Event in Katsina State.

The TEDxKangiwa2025 aims to bring together thoughtful leaders, innovators, and young minds to share inspiring ideas and shape the future of Nigeria.

Earlier, the state delegation held a meeting with the organizers at the Katsina Directorate of Information & Communication Technology (KATDICT), where ideas were shared towards the success of the event.

The delegation, comprising youth from Kebbi State benefited from the vast experiences shared during the event and conference.

In her message to the event, the wife of the Governor reaffirms her commitment to the total development and empowerment of young people in Kebbi State.

She further explained that this initiative aligns with her husband’s efforts to harness the potential of our youth and equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive progressin kebbi state.

The delegation is set to return with new ideas, perspectives, and inspiration, which will contribute to the growth and development of Kebbi State.

This meeting highlights the importance of collaboration in addressing youth development and achieving the SDGs. Meaningful youth engagement is crucial for creating effective programs and policies that benefit young people.

Mubashir added that working together, organizations and governments can create opportunities for youths to thrive and contribute to achieving the SDGs.
